General / Off-Topic Halloween

Greetings,

So the Beta launches on Tuesday Oct 29. In my time zone it will probably be PM. Then we get excited playing with all the new features. Did you watch all the live streams to be informed? If not now is a good time to watch them as they are available at Frontier's video posts.

Casual players will just take in the moment. Serious players will be looking to break the new game features which is exactly what Beta is all about. Add in a major update often negatively effects other aspects of the game which were working OK before. Beta players will find them but it might take a few days.

Now we are at Oct 31 Halloween figuring this all out. Do I answering the door per those "Spooks" wanting candy while I'm in a risky moment playing ED Beta? In normal game play when life interferes our priority is to find a safe moment to pause the game. We don't wan't to lose a combat billion credit investment in a Corvette. Of course Beta has nothing to do with our main accounts. With Halloween and a lot of "Spooks" ringing your doorbell many times you won't have this option. This is a huge USA celebration. The U.K. also celebrates this on Oct 31 but per Patton in WW II the USA and the U.K. is separated by a common language.

Personally a little 5 year old girl dressed up as a princess with bright eyes at my door asking for candy is more important than this game. She doesn't have a clue about the world she is about to grow up in. So for me I won't be Beta testing on Oct 31st. Real life trumps any online game. I'll get back to it on Nov 1st.

Regards

As a proud English well, Welsh Gentleman, I'm proud to announce that this "all hallowed fancy dress party" of the pagan festival formerly known Samhain, is something that simply isn't observed by me, dear chap.

Hooplah, are you a dentist? :D

LOL. Nope. Not even close. I'm giving out the full version of Reese's cups not the miniatures. Dentists playing ED might love my post per new customers who don't brush their teeth daily. :)

It is all about celebrating a holiday with kids dressing up using their young minds to expand them per a fantasy. I'm good with that. We need more young minds being developed and loving parents promoting them. The glow and trust in a young child's eyes looking at their parents is priceless. As per Santa Clause I won't tell if you don't.

The Violent Femmes are in town. I've seen them before, so volunteered to stay home, fetch the kiddo and hand out candies, while my better half heads out.

Words cannot express how much I hate this holiday. Everything is "pumpkin spice" for no good reason, and those pesky kids ringing the door and want something from me. Ugh. Not to mention absolutely atrocious costumes, that have nothing to do with the day of the dead. Seriously. I work in a restaurant, and see all those drunk teens crashing in at the end of the night to fill up on cheap food. Last year there was a guy covered in toilet paper. Was he supposed to be a mummy, or roll of toilet paper? These days both of these have about equal chance to be true. Again - ugh.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
How about Nightmare Night? ...when you have to sacrifice all your candy to Luna so she won't devour you.
