My proposal for a new commander salute to replace the traditional "o7" salute

I think the salute should be <o as it looks like an actual salute.
The middle girl is shielding her eyes from the sun. Z0 isn't even a proper salute. Where's the picture for that?

I wrote a current summary on page 20. The bottom line is that we found over 800 documented instances of commanders using Z0 on public forums.
The picture of performing the salute appears in the video attached to the original post.

Your question is irrelevant. Using the o7 salute is no longer a viable candidate for long-term use, ever since I placed a galaxy-wide ban on it. Using o7 will likely get you ganked if me or my minions see you using it. I routinely receive reports from my minions of commanders they killed because of a refusal to perform the Zarek Null (Z0) salute.

Dunno, i prefer the \\\\\o as a high-five to other commanders.
We of course also have the more complicated "Macarena" =o \o o/ o= which can be seen as confusing to many novice pilots.
But let's not forget the fabulous straight out "there" salute o= which is simply elegant in it's simplicity.
Some more extreme pilots tend to use "The Fuhrer" or "Toothbrush" as it is also called with the efficient: |o It is however seen as a sign of intolerance to others and appears very harsh.
Many also use the simple and classical =) as a friendly greeting but depending on your actions can quickly turn into =( or =/ or >(
