Well, youd be working a conflict zone for a bit. They also said there might be other POI's that pop up in super cruise.
But you see when people work a system. They are there for weeks. And sometimes it can be LARGE amounts of people. Check the fuel rats system out right now. Its like that when BGS player factions go at it.
Put everyone on the same playing field. And watch the magic happen baby.
It could be so good. Its right there.

We are all on the same playing field - however it does not require PvP - that remains an optional extra in this game.
Large groups of combat PvPers would never strongarm their way into a Fuel Rat system, you just wouldn't see that.
They would go: hey, these fuel rats are mostly explorers and not too skilled in combat, lets leave these guys alone. They do a great job in the galaxy.
You can't even merchandise properly...it's $15..$21 shipping and handling! Why should we start believing anything else you say? (I might have bought it at 10$ though!)
You might want to start managing your expectations right now or start writing the appropriate raging post about how come your idea has not been properly implemented and is disappointing, and I'm going to save this post for when the time of the post comes.

As far as I'm aware, you also have access to Open, PG, Solo on any of the 3 platforms you may own.
Unless you're referring to PS4 and XB1 people having to pay a subscription service to access Open?
Then sure, make PC Open a subscription as well, so it's "on the same playing field" as consoles.

*Shrug* I got what I wanted with the Powerplay review. Looking forward to its implementation.
He's highlighting how the Fuelem BGS attack was a slow, continuous sustained effort whereas if it was done by a PvP orientated group it would have been a 'gun and run' approach, replete with announcing PR.
Considering you're usually amongst the first to declare PvPers having the attention span of toddlers with the IQ's to match, I'd have thought you'd have been agreeing with him on this.

I got the review I wanted, and am awaiting the implentation of whatever changes they decide on before getting involved further in what can sometimes turn into very heated dark, personal discussions about e-spaceships.
I think (not sure of course) that what he means is that he is happy Frontier took the time to examine the situation and review the PP mechanics. Regardless if anything comes of it he was pleased they at least made an effort to look at it.
Its not a bad outlook since its still a complete toss up as to what if anything comes of it (other than the joy and drama on these here forums).
Not that I am defending anyone here just maybe trying to clear up a misinterpretation of what he said.
The PPOO is not on the table as far as I am aware for the near/mid future if at all. Some of the other stuff might be good but I honestly dont understand the mechanics of PP so cant say if they are worth the effort of the change.
Well you'd be wrong because I am not desperate for either I was just making a point. Why does someone who disagrees with you and tells you so is "fishing for a fight" or whatever? But nice way to try to deflect from the point ^,^. And again, as I said, they reviewed and as of this time nothing changed. And I have to wonder was it really a review? This wasn't the first time Sandros put his toe into the Power Play waters then yanked it out.
I disagree only in that if someone holds an outlook that would screw a bunch of people and remove an aspect of the game they enjoy, just so they can hoard it... not an outlook I can support.
