Will there be more than 2 New Ships?

Noone knows.
Am willing to bet we will get quite a few, last time we had a 'ships' update we received a lot of new types. We'll find out soon enough.
Am pretty sure the testing for ships is a week long right? That definitely means more than a Krait Variation and the Mamba.
Last 'Ships update' we received the following, two new ships and 3 variations
Asp Scout
Federal Corvette
Imperial Cutter
Keelback
Viper MkIV
I kind of remember Sandro talking about their desire to revise the Asp Scout, many months ago... Can't find the source, but I am pretty sure it was said...
I read that same post and can confirm that Sandro said that the Asp Scout was in dire need of an overhaul.
And they won't since any more new ships will be in a hot build inaccessible to beta testers. All the livestreams so far have exclusively Involved hot builds. My guess is anywhere from 4-6 new ships ( including then two confirmed so far).
There can be lot of small things to talk about too. Also don't need to be 1 hour stream.
Also I really don't think we need new ships.
I suppose they may also have made (or be planning to make) adjustments to existing ships, ...nerfs, buffs, etc. We already know they removed the restricted slots in the passenger types. That sort of stuff might help to fill out a few minutes of livestream padded out with a bit of banter and waffle along the way.
I disagree. We need more exploration choices at the top end of the jump range scale. Some alternative to the Anaconda.
We will find out next week.
There won't be one, and we don't need new ships, period. We need more to do with existing ones, including walking on ships.

We could use a luxury explorer, maybe a new Saud kruger or gutamaya model. Large but with nice sc handling, at least 6 optionals and a fighter.
I don't agree with you. More ships is always good. More variety in what you fly is always good, and it doesn't have to go against "more to do with them". Creating new ships is not the same process as creating content for the game itself.
Although, I reckon "The Ships" stream doesn't have to be about new ships. They might just talk about balance changes to all already existing ships, and explain what they did and why. And it might as well take an hour or two to do just so. So I would not let the title of the stream push my hopes up too high in terms of new goodies quantity. "The Ships" doesn't equal "The New Ships". In fact, I'm already quite pleased the Phantom is now confirmed to not be the only "new" ship.
