DEV Please read. Squadron Reservation name mail doesnt arrive, and now ?

I am an admin of a medium size community, with an in game pmf submitted 2 year ago and we make tomorrow (7 november) our first year of in game presence with our faction.

We wait, 1 years for have our pmf in game.
A one, long, very long years where half of the community decide to go "away" because there was an incredibile ammount of time wasted waiting for our pmf in game.

Now, THE SQUADRON, wow.

Everybody know there was a mail received by leader of player group for reserving squadron name.

Yeah, where is my one?
ive checked everywhere in my mail box. spam or not. no voice. nothing.

Squadron name reservation end on 12 october, so, WHATS UP now?

A simply funny players can create a squadron with my name and ruins an entire community just because my internet speed is slowest than other? or maybe because i have to work at the beyond day one?
i ve send various mail to community@frontier.co.uk but no one care me.

Before you sai it, yes, i have submitted all the necessary form for player group i found around here.
ive have the mail with confirmation of that, doing on 12\07\2017.

I really dont like this, i spend tons of hours for make my community always better and now i dont know if i can use my pmf in my squadroon.

Not all PMF's were sent the mail for reservation as for the smaller ones it was hard to ascertain that they were still active. Only the biggest and most recognised PMF's who had the most to lose if their name was stolen had reservations set up.

i dont think. i know a pair of friends, one have sumbitted for pmf a year ago and in game theres not yet the faction but he received the squadron name reservation. another one have a community similar to mine, another one have the biggest pmf in game, da vinci corp and yet not received the mail. this is really bad..

Doesn't the beta let you create a squadron? Yes I know changes in the beta aren't supposed to go live, but you might as well do it anyhow. And the list of squadrons might get carried over. Even if that doesn't happen, it would test to see if your preferred name has been taken, and discourage someone else from taking it.

My mate who runs a one-man faction got the email.

Player Named Factions... the implemention was wrong from the start.

Whole thing could be reworked now and be much better.

First: Sell a Player Named Faction kit via the store for real cash.
Second: Faction naming would be reviewed so we don’t end up with The Order of Cheesy Knobs or worse.
Once the naming is given the green light, the faction spawns somewhere in uninhabited space, in the smallest of capitol ships.
That ship can them be directed towards a system, and provide missions for supporting players to attempt to insert themselves into that system. If, at the end of the cycle, they are successful, Faction NPC’s turn up in a station in said system. If not, players can either try again or move to a new system and repeat.

I should clarify - these would not be Magestic or Farragut class ships, but small megaships - selected as part of the Player Named Faction kit.

This is absolutely not true. My group is by no extent big, and we don't even have a PMF. We got the mail, because we registered the group with FDev. The latter was the criteria for getting the Squadron Name Reservation mail, nothing else.

So maybe it's more like it's random or otherwise poorly organized. Our faction did not get an email. Others did not as well.

Brett, any chance you can look into Marquisate of Valac as well? We've received no communications from Frontier, either.

We (The G.O.M. Collective) (G.O.M. Collective) (G.O.M.) (GOM) have attempted to sort this with our new command and without our founding Cmdr (absent and AFK for a year). Contact has been made to FD on several occasions with no reply yet. We are 100 pilots at present and still hoping a reply to our communications can be expected soon.

But to be fair.... no worse than the 100s of other one person PMFs in the game, or the people who've added multiple PMFs for themselves or their group :)

If there's no realistic way to check the applications then these things will happen.
