News Beyond - Chapter Four Livestreams (08.11.2018) – New Ships

Anybody feel the rest of the livestream will cover 'changes' like the Saud Kruger (not that I have all 3 - 2 of one...) ships dedicated slots gone, maybe even a new 'balancing pass' on ships?

I feel like there will be some changes to the existing ships announced in the stream today. Presenting two new ships doesn’t seem like enough content to fill up the time so there is likely more. They will probably go over the Saud Kruger changes, but I have a hunch there are more changes to declare as well. Possibly a buff to the Asp Scout for one, maybe even some further changes for the Beluga.

I’d love to see hull mass drops for both the Asp X and DBX to make them jump closer to the Anaconda, but I doubt Frontier is willing to make me that happy. :D

Wow! doesn't look much like a mining ship to me :p

Edit: but I suppose it would cut down travelling time between asteroids...

if i read the pc gamer article i bet they present the mamba and like too tell us the past and copy krait is a new ship, i hope its not so. Still a bit of faith but losing more every min.

Still hoping they go "The Ships you saw in Beta were for the Lulz, here are the two ships we really are releasing.....oh and the two you have seen are coming anyway"

But I doubt it very much.....unfortunately.

Just seems strange that they didn't remove them the second they were first discovered.

My personal theory is that SRV paintjobs don't sell as well.

Hah, you might be right. The existing SRVs don't have enough big, uninterrupted surfaces to really take advantage of interesting paintjobs.

All the more reason then, to release big armoured combat SRVs, or chunky cargo/mining SRVs, with more paintjob-potential. :)

Yes please. Ship racing courses in asteroid rings and canyons... SLF racing courses in and round mega ships... SRV racing courses on planets and in bases...

Triathlon races.. start off with an SRV race. Reach your ship, board as fast as possible, then it's a ship race. Hit the last checkpoint in an asteroid belt, deploy fighter, and race through the slot of an asteroid station to win the race.

Waaaaaaahoooooooo!

(splat!!)

I hope so.

You mean something like this (although we used SLF installation tunnel fly-throughs rather than asteroid belt races).

What I found weird is why the 2 new ships are implemented alone in the third beta week ? Is it because FDev wanted players to focus only on testing exploration / mining / BGS / scenarios the first 2 weeks instead of spending time trying the new ships ?

Im not expecting other ships than the Krait Phantom & Mamba since it was confirmed by FDev that they are the only ships that will appear in 3.3 but it's a little bit akward to make a unique livestream to announce 2 ships that are already known and add them in a specific beta week dedicated to "ships"...don't know if FDev are hiding some last reveal about 3.3...we'll know pretty soon...

SPace Legs Confirmed!

I'm sensing a pattern here.

Do you have a video for everything I think would be good in the game? I'm keeping an eye on you, Mr. Turner .)

(That video looks a bit epic!)
