EA stocks has fallen by almost 50% since E3 debacle and aren't stopping

I'm no financial genius, but it doesn't look to me as though the stock has fallen very far from its position at the start of the chart.

It also needs to be put into context with the wider market too. The NASDAQ Composite index seems to indicate that the October/November dip is a market trend.

Royal Rumble SJW vs Alt-right. Business as usual :D

Well, that, too. But mainly it was EA's reaction to criticism that alienated a lot of people, combined with the conference being really uninteresting and empty in general.
Like Toumal said, Titanfall 2 was surprisingly good, but they haven't released a critically acclaimed game since... well... Mass Effect 2?

Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins were the 2 last truly great Bioware games. Mass Effect 3 was still enjoyable, although not in the same league.

Who needs them when we have R*? BF5 is trash and I said it as a former hardcore bf player.

Those 2 games are like apples and oranges. Also this BF is the best since the early days. It has more depth, higher skill ceiling and much better teamplay then the last 3 entries. I say this as a BF player since 1942.

I think you are overestimating the impact of online communities on sales. All this snowflake triggered crap is a non issue to 95 % of buyers. They are actually not sitting on the PC all day playing games and whining on social media about the downfall of white men. The fall of the stock has most likely to do with something else, as it would explain the same fall for ActiBlizz.

This is not about snowflakes. This is about an arrogant and disrespectful behaviour of EA. And I don't think I'm overestimating much. The preorders for BF5 are not 5% lower like it would be if you were right. They are REALLY low.
And like I said, yes, I know the stock falling has other reasons than people being "unhappy". But maybe both people being unhappy AND the fall of stock are two symptoms of the same thing.

This has already been debunked. https://twitter.com/JeffGrubb/status/1031945656854691840?s=19

The nose dive in EA stocks have more to do with the fact, that they delayed the release of BF5. It was even in the mainstream media. Shareholders are upset, that EA doesnt deliver profit on time. The issues of potential buyers have very little impact on it.

Also being arrogant on twitter and releasing a reveal trailer has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the game. Its pretty simple: The game will get sold if its good, and it wont if it doesnt.

And speaking of selling the game....

I googled it, looks like yet another "I don't like girls" thing.

Is this the one where they tried to hype their game as a immersive, gritty WWII shooter (like Post Scriptum) and gave us amputee women snipers with robot arms and samurai sword carrying Bren gunners at Arnhem instead, and wondered why people couldn't seem to equate the marketing to what they saw?

I personally have taken the choice to never buy games by EA, Activision or UbiSoft ever again.
They are predatory manipulators of players and markets while releasing unfinished and low quality games.
They are the poster boys for eveything that i hate and despise about the gaming industry.

So for what it is worth they have lost a customer in me in perpetuity and i know that my sentiment is not alone.

My heart is warmed to see them fail and i hope its a terminal decline.

While I fully agree that EA has dropped many balls especially with Battlefront 2 and poorly marketing BF5, it hasn't stopped me buying BF5.

I played BF1 for over 700 hours, a great title that gives me a lot of value. BF5 is also a great title and the developers have made a great, intense, intelligent multiplayer game here. The shenanigans of the publisher (EA) in the past are lamentable but I do believe They are listening and changing things. It's my belief that the fall in their stock price is reflecting this change somewhat, it's going to hurt their pockets and investors only give a poop about that bottom line. They are not interested in the game quality only what revenue it generates.

BF5 is a great game that deserves to be supported I say.

I'm not upset. I have no horse in the race.
I'm just kind of happy these things are starting to be called out and discussed.

You know what I find ironic? BF V is doing many changes to the gameplay fans have been asking for years. They made the game more complex, took away the noob crutches, made teamplay better. But now people are complaining about woman, chat cencors and muh liberal oppression. Gamers are a laughable customer group. They are so easily triggered. No wonder some EA guy said, what he said. He was just right.

It's kind of gratifying to see them suffer financially like this. Acti-blizzion have been having a less than pleasant time too since the Diablo on mobile disaster.
Who would of believed that the worm would turn after all the ills these big corporations have bought to the gaming industry?

You reap what you sow it seems, and about time too!

EA doesn't suffer financially from stock market decline. It's investors who do. Some dude's pension plan just became a bit smaller.
