Action hero Jack Reacher is to get a reboot for the small screen with a new actor in the lead role after creator Lee Child admitted Tom Cruise, who played him in two films, is too short.

In Child's books, Reacher is described as 6ft 5in tall with hands the size of dinner plates. Cruise is 5ft 7in.

"Cruise, for all his talent, didn't have that physicality," Child told BBC Radio Manchester's Mike Sweeney.

It is a planned TV series.

"The author said a deal was signed last week to make a new streaming show."

I've read about 20 of the 23 books and just rolled my eyes when they said TC was playing Reacher. So much of how Reacher operates revolves around him being 6'5" and 220lbs to 240lbs depending on if he has spent the summer digging swimming pools or not.

Creative licence when translating to another media format is one thing but using a shrink ray on the lead character is just daft.

The films were OK as Jack Reacher themed Tom Cruise films.

They really do need an appropriately sized actor to play Reacher.

It's really funny that actor that was great in that role gets sacked because "he isn't the right person for the role". Especially in the light of the SJW crap that's going on with The Witcher series, right now, where they are deliberately casting people that are the least suited for the role.

He is simply to expensive for a Netflix show, that part I can understand and also I doubt that he would even sign a contract for a Netflix show to begin with.
The sjw crap isn't just within the new Witcher show over at Netflix, as we could see recently even in this forum.
It will possibly don't take long until the usual suspects demand that Jack is becoming Jacquelline.

Picking gender is akin to picking your nose. You only have two options. If you disagree then convince me the Earth is flat. Yeah you are that ridiculous.
