Good lord engineering is so much better!!

I'd engineered a couple ships pre changes, and even though I actually didn't mind gathering mats too much, the idea of getting some of the more annoying ones *cough* *cif* *cough* was enough to keep me from bothering, I love material trader! Also the fact that I can actually just buy additional affects instead of that silly "reset your engineering level by 2" is so much better!

Can't say enough how much I like these changes, thanks fdev!

edit: forgot to mention one of the best parts, separate and much higher capacity for all these mats, don't know how many materials I just threw away to make space for the ones I needed in the past

It's therapy ... for OCD. Enjoy. (Keep!) :D

OCD, well let me explain it,
You straighten every picture frame, it
Makes you wash your hand twenty times a day,
You’re not a bad person, but it drives people away.

You down with OCD? Yeah you know me.
You down with OCD? Yeah you know me.
You down with OCD? Gotta do this in groups of three.

So much this!
The expanded storage was one of my favorite changes.

Sorry have we gone back in time several months?

Yeah, right, I've almost successfully repressed my discontent about how they missed the opportunity to actually do it right back then and now it all comes back again [mad]
It even made me want to quit but my addiction had the upper hand :D

Engineering changes were the thing that made me come out of "quitting" elite. I wasn't going to spend time playing RNG, to gamble in RNG, for RNG effects, that might be garbage, for outright power creep at that.

These changes give everyone a fair shot that respects time invested into your upgrades. While I still think Engineers is the worst thing to ever happen to the game's balance, it does at least serve as a token progression and something to laugh at when all your vessels are G4-5 and can roll over nearly every vessel imaginable.

And you found this out NOW?!?! lol

Besies I liked the VERY first implementation best.. after all the nerfs its way to easy.. pfffffft everything becomes tailored to casuls! :(

Now to get them to fix the last 10% of G5. Tired of making 12+ rolls for that last 10%.

I never do the last few rolls unless the materials are all ones I have loads of. They don't have any real effect on ship performance, as shown by the stats in the circles.
