Travel Shuttle

Anyone think we could really use a good and cheap travel-only shuttle?
Size of a Sidewinder, Sleek design, No Optional Internals (Less maybe one locked for a 1A Shield Gen), No Hardpoints, No Utility, but with a prepackaged set of primary internal sizes that allow for an FSD that can reach 150+ LY and an engine that can get to 1500 m/s. Maybe costs 200k to start with 50LY/400ms. Maybe make it only purchaseable at Jameson Memorial.

Adder has always been my shuttle. Cause It is a shuttle

150 is ridiculous.

why ? make a ship that has a really big jump range, no cargo, no optional modules, except maybe fuel scoop, no sensors, no weapons. so you can get from one place to another my corvette is 300lys away, i jump in the uber taxi (see what i did there) and get to corvette all without taking most of my days playtime, then i have to spend the rest of the playtime flying the low jump range corvette to somewhere good to fight etc, and then the next day, i can actually have some fun in the game.

I tend to just switch out my normal FSD for my enhanced range one, put the proper fuel tank in and change the cargo racks for fuel tanks.

But then, I normally have a jump range of about 11 ly.

Nope. Sounds like nothing more than a request for fast travel.

I'd abuse the heck out of a ship like that. Way too broken.

600k for a 30LY adder too much?

An engineered Hauler does the job well enough for me - around 50LY jump range and enhanced drives for a boost of nearly 700m/s.

Admittedly there are heat issues when bouncing from star to star, which occasionally cause me to arrive backwards and on fire, but that's just part of the Hauler's charm! :D

Right now I just use my exploration Asp. It has a max range of 65Ly. I have ships in 4 areas, all 300+ Ly apart. I use the Asp to move between them. It takes 10 mins at the most. Come the update this will become a Krait Phantom with an even longer range.

Frontier did have a shuttle, but even that had a poor jump range. But you really don't need one. Just build out an exploration fit ship and use that as your default ship to move around in.

The only time I get ships moved is when I need to refit them or reengineer them. As they are in remote locations like the Pleiades and the California Nebula, I fly the Asp to Shinrata and have them shipped and visa versa.

Didnt the interplanetary shuttle only have an interplanetary (system only) drive?

Yeah. You could wait a loong time & get the drive destroyed because lack of servicing, and then fit a class 1 Military Drive to it. One ton of fuel to move around leaves a whopping one ton free cargo space. :)

Hmm, 'interplanetary' would suggest so, otherwise it would be 'interstellar' or just Shuttle. Maybe that is what I was thinking of when I said short range. I didn't check as on phone.
