PvP Why do people Kill you for no reason

I was going to do the CG, as soon as I jumped into the system CNDR [Redacted] Interdicted me, I ended up boosting away but he did it again. And I always thought I was pretty good at beating interdictions, but what I normally do had no affect.

I was in a Corvette and My Shields didn't last very long. The 2nd time he and a wing man, got me.

Am I to assume one should use private to do CGs?

Just wanted to get some opinions.

It's the norm in CG's I don't bother with those nowadays. Just go solo when you enter the system that you are delivering to, that is what I ended up doing.

Well yes if you don't want to deal with the issue of PvP.
You need to remove the Cmdr's name from your post as well, forum rules.

Picking a mode of your choice to play in is your right. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Well if they did it, they have a reason, even if the reason wasn't to your liking.

They may hate all Federation ships. They may be opposed to the side you supported in the CG. They may find it funny watching players in "the ultimate combat ship" get interdicted and run in a straight line like a sheep before a car.

All are valid. Entirely so.

Unlike the naming/shaming here.

i still don't know the answer to your question, but i've serious doubts it's the right question. as for opinions, i don't think mine is relevant, but i've just given it too many times. i'm old, just let me be!

Increasing your combat rating is a reason. Disrupting a CG that is allied with an opposing force is a reason. Because 'Open' isn't 'PvE,' and just as any NPC ship may be a random target for you, in open, you are a random target for anyone else. In open, a ship is a ship is a ship. Being a jerk is also a reason - Same as real life, I guess - but I think it's odd to even distinguish between NPC/Player ships in open from the get go

When the CG is to Kill the ships on their wanted list, where do yo find them. Went to a CZ but it wasn't clear what side to pick?

Kind of weird to ask why, when you said it is for no reason!

I'm not a fan of it myself. If there is an in game reason, I'm all for it though.

Plenty of reasons why another CMDR would shoot you down, all are legit, even if they have an overwhelming advantage. This isn't a game that promotes sporting/fair PvP. Some CMDR's even keep count of how many other CMDR's they have killed.

If this type of challenge isn't for you, I'd stick to solo or pg.

This just a lesson everyone must learn when playing ED.

Don't expect sympathy, you may get some advice or ridicule.

Best bet, don't give anyone any free press by complaining, research this forum and others, make your ship better and learn some tactics. A lone Corvette is a sitting duck in an Open CG and seriously lacks speed. It's better in a wing.
