General / Off-Topic Film/TV ships that fit into the ED Lore

Something a little light hearted to start the week: What ships from either Film or TV would work in ED? Now to stop everyone wanting the Enterprise or an Imperial Star Destroyer, some criteria should be met:

(1) The ship must fit into a station via the slot and be able to land on a Large Pad;
(2) The ship must be able to carry cargo (as all ships in ED can carry cargo);
(3) Must be able to jump via Hyperspace and land on a planets surface; and
(4) Must be able to be operated by one Commander (and demonstrated that fact in the movies or TV).

Some to get you started -

The Firefly from umm Firefly. Can jump, can carry cargo, only needs one pilot (may he RIP), and should be able to fit through the Slot. The perfect unarmed trader/smuggler :D

The Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. Can do it all and even looks like it 'fits' into the ED universe, a definite must although I suspect a few would lose the radar dish rather quickly :D

Imperial Shuttle from Star Wars: Even looks like an Imperial (ED) ship, although you may have to go through the slot sideways with the wings folded.

That should be enough to get the idea, but please, do remember the criteria and lets keep this light hearted and a bit of fun :D

Do these fighters comply with the criteria I set?

Oh what heresy, go wash that filthy mouth of yours out, the mighty Firefly might not have the graceful lines of a SK ship but it's personality and presences makes up for it's utilitarian looks :D
They can carry some cargo. Fit through the slot and afair short range jump capable.

I agree with Un1korn. Fugly ship great TV show.

No, the Krait Mk II is an example of good utilitarian looks.

Firefly is vomit.

But truly, the show is fantastic. Just an ugly boat.

Fair enough then in regard to the BSG fighters, only watched the original show and couldn't remember if they were cargo compliant or not. As for your comment on the Firefly, please join Commander Un1korn at the nearest hand basin to wash your mouth out (yes I am a dedicated Browncoat lol).

Will this squeeze in there? 134m wide 30m High 170m long.
flimley

But didn't the Defiant need a rather large crew to operate it? Hmm might have failed on Criteria 4 but just be the visual design, it would fit into the ED universe.

Half a Flimley point for you :D

Utilitarian looks? It looks like someone tried to make a Paper Crane out of metal. I mean if tour into that I guess....

I think it had a maximum crew compliment of 57, approximately. But one Flimley could crew it just fine !
It certainly looks like it would fit in, right next to the Python !

You're also Space-Geralt of the Rivia System.

You can do anything m'dude.

Roccinante from the Expanse (Definitely spelt wrong)
Utilitarian chic
Cargo carrying possible
single pilot possible.
No hyperspace though (whoops 3 out of 4 aint bad??….)

Will allow this one as the show is set in a single system (from memory) so we really don't know if it is hyperspace capabilities since it isn't discussed in the show :D

This one would be a fine addition : the Milano from the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Damn fine looking ship, meets all the criteria although a little fuzzy on the cargo capacity but one could assume it does (they are after all pirates and smugglers right)

I suspect I would hate flying Millenium Falcon. Cockpit on the side instead of the center? Never being able to see what's on the left? Horrible design flaw IMO.
Krait looks like improved version.

Yeah, I see it as a competitor for the FDL or the new Mamba...
