General / Off-Topic Film/TV ships that fit into the ED Lore

I'm seriously surprised these didnt make the list. Both can have multi crew, but can be piloted by one and can fit in the slot.

The Sulaco might fit - but sideways:

The Betty:

The Prometheus would be VERY tight in the mail slot, but I think it would actually fit:

Also, I can't believe no one pointed this out yet, but Serenity has no FTL drive. Nothing in that universe does, as the tech was never developed. The 'Verse is one very large trinary (or larger) solar system, which all ships navigate at sublight speeds. Humanity got there in a fleet of sleeper or generation ships.

Yeah, but the ship could still be translated to ED, with a FSD fitted.

The Firefly does appear to have artificial gravity though. Otherwise, several weeks flight in freefall with a herd of cows wouldn't be a pleasant experience. It's not unlikely that constant acceleration from the thrusters are what provides this gravity. Something that only the flight model doesn't allow in ED.

The Serenity is meant to be an awful ship.
I laughed out loud at the flashback when he reveals he bought it and the response is, "On purpose?" :D

That scene where Captain Mal is in the shipyard and he sees the Serenity for the first time... wonderful!

SK8Fra

Event Horizon.

On a side note, if the Conda can be piloted by a single player, so can anything. Those ships are clearly meant for a large crew.

The Terran Katana from X, maybe?

Only thing Im iffy about is maybe the FTL

That one would fit with the existing ships.

Elite's ships have clear shaped designs. A lot of the suggestions are ships with vague shapes and too much stuff attached to the main hull. That isn't memorable and those aren't anything like Elite ships.

A ship that would fit right into Elite is the Apocalypse of Eve Online. Because this battleship has a streamlined shape.

How about this one... it was featured in a recent TV space show. Can be piloted by one guy, have a (small) cargo capacity, and an excellent canopy view. I'm not sure about the FSD though...
