Help with Combat Missions

Hey guys, i just recently bought the game and i had some fun so far.
But there is one thing i didn't figured out yet.
I took a mission in the eranin jurisdiction and they want me to kill some federal fighters in Eranin or another System.
Okay, so far so good but where do i find them now? I was travelling around different places in Eranin and i didn't managed to find such a fighter, maybe only some civilians if i had luck.

Any tips or hints?

Fed Distress signal at Eranin 2 and combat zones at Eranin 2 and 3. You need to get quite close to the planets before you see the sites.

When you get there, pick the Eranin side in the Functions tab of the Systems panel.

and if you die you lose the vouchers, so when you kill enough fly to right jurisdiction (if you kill eranin fly to federation station and vice versa) and cash the vouchers under contacts->local security office.

I got 5 for a mission last night and thought I'd keep going.

if you took mission you would keep payment even after death, as after you complete mission it stays there as long as return for payment even if you die many times in between

but usually that payment is less than killing same amount of military ships so i use it just as a bonus and nothing more.

also keep in mind that in finished game the losing side will pay MORE for each kill so more money for fighting for losers, also there will not be last shot got's all but rather payment will be tied to damage done

but for now just kill eranin scum and have fun

yes, do not die before you complete it, and after you complete it you can die how many times you want.

i tested this and i got paid each and every time, if mission requires 5 kills and you die after 5th you lose vouchers but still receive mission payment.

basically do not die means do not die BEFORE you complete the objective, after you complete it you are free to die as many time as you wish

Thanks alot guys, but i am also not quite sure for what faction i should play. I guess i will just search for some missions that want me to kill pirates so i keep all of my standings in the green.

Hmm, I got the mission complete message after the 5th, but I'm pretty sure the mission wasn't available to cash in after I respawned.

Maybe I cashed in without noticing.
