First they came for my parka, but no one spoke; because they weren't a paratrooper.
Then, they came for my Fred Perry: Again no one spoke, because they did not play tennis.
Then they came for my Sta Prest, but once more people stayed silent, because they couldn't use an iron.
BUT! When they came for my Cromby and my bored out 200 series 3 Lambretta....
I told them exactly where to go.

I lived through Punk and Mod; Skinhead and Rude Boy.
I kissed the Women I fancied; I didn't see skin colour; I was too close.
I played with scooter 2 stroke engines and BSA Rocket engines.
I played music with Jerry Dammers and Pauline Black.
I never had to apologise or justify my existence, neither did my black friends.
We made music.

Nothing quite like the smell of bean oil in a nasty 2 stroke!
I know someone with an old Lambretta, and what a tortuous love affair piecing that thing together was!

My 2 strokes looked more like this, but I'm with you in spirit!

Motorbikes, Scooters, etc etc...

(hybrid vigor, I get that and we don't have to exaggerate)

To talk to someone that likes their two wheels and an angine, whether it's a scooter or a bike... I tell you what, when my Scooter is back on the road, I want to to out for a ride with everyone else.

Yes, no doubt!

My uncle owns an old Nimbus, with the exposed valve rockers.
A friend is into '90s Ducatis. Even more complicated valves on those!
I dated a girl into GSXRs. (Danger Will Robinson!)
I find them all interesting and they all share that feeling of freedom.

This thread brings back some fine memories beyond the bikes too!
