Guardian Frame Shift Drive Booster

What is the point of the puzzle exactly?
Learning the lore about the guardians (I think). Didn't do that one since you need samples from thargoids as well. Just doing the blueprint unlock is enough work. Got me the guardian FSD boost, power plant, distributor, and I think I unlocked the shield boost or whatever, but haven't used it yet. The FSD boost... best thing EVER! :D

I'm looking to get into the Guardian stuff. Specifically the Guardian Frame Shift Drive Booster. But it seems like everything is 1,000LY or more away. And I'm not really sure what I need to do. Is there not anywhere close that I can go to? I'm currently parked at Marizi system.

I'm not interested in the Guardian stuff at all purely because of the repetitive gameplay.
I'd love to get my hands on the new SLFs but I won't submit myself to the "grind" needed to obtain them, just a personal choice.
The only thing I realy wanted was the Guardian FSD booster and it's worth the effort imho.

There are plenty of youtube vids that'll tell you what you need to do to get it.

I recently did this myself. All in all, it took me about four hours total to fly the guardian site, get everything collected, then fly back to the bubble.

Some quick notes from a mediocre space truck driver...
1) I went in an AspX. I could only find one decent parking spot on the plateau with the guardian ruins (and it actually made shooting one of the pylons a bit tricky). A smaller ship would have made life easier.

2) Mount one or two point defense turrets on your ship. They help with drone fights.

3) If all you want is the FSD booster, you only need to do the puzzle once for one blueprint.

4) RNG hated me. I ended up with a ton of power cells, but no technology components. Had to reload the site a couple times to get the parts I needed.

5) When you blow up drones, make certain to loot any parts they drop. I ended up getting a quarter of my needed technology components from drones.

6) Bring two SRVs -or- enough materials to do SRV ammo/fuel synthesis.

7) The drones are dumb as a box of ancient rocks. Do not be afraid of them.

This is true, but if you allready spent that much time traveling - hit that relog button few more times and get some more blueprints. You'll need them sooner or later.

You commit to that task of going out there only once, and let me tell you - in the long run you'll be glad you did. It'll pay itself back multiple times, because that 10.50 LY increase is gonna save your valuable time significantly!

There are multiple sites out there. And you can't (couldn't in the past) log out while parked near the ruins anyway (bring a small ship. Dolphin is good.). While you're there, I also would recommend to collect the blueprints and the mats for both the FSD booster and the shield boosters.

What do you mean? I've been to different guardian sites several times and always landed my Asp amidst the rubble, so close that I couldn't fire the SRV turrets at some panels due to the close proximity to my ship, and never had a problem relogging. At guardian structures logging out while in the SRV resets its position to outside the site, but my ship always stayed parked where I left it, be it at a guardian ruin or structure.

It's been a while - ISTR that, when I tried to log out, I got something like a 'too close to something or other' message. May have been in the SRV, though.

So I finally took the time to head out there to Synuefe NL-N C23-4 planet B 3. To get the schematic. But do I only need to scan the Orb once, after doing the pylons? To get the Guardian FSD booster? Or do I need to do it multiple time and do I get another thing here?

You only need one blueprint for the FSD booster, but you do need a bunch of scans and other things, and even some commodity. You have to look up exactly what. Don't remember from the top of my head.

I went there with a 32Ly jump range from the bubble which took 35 jumps, which isn't so bad. I now have 43Ly on the Anaconda so it is a decent improvement. I would recommend taking a smaller ship though as trying to land there is somewhat of a pain.

I use an unarmed aspx at 60ly. full PD and two srv's. never needed the spare one, but its an awful long way back to get a new one if the fan gets hit by excrement.

On the modules one, ive completed all i need. In fact I have one extra. Its relatively simple and you soon get into a method. For me I go clockwise and scan obelisks for data first, wakes up a couple of sentinels, which I toast and scoop up their bits. Then I put srv on ball thing, to activate the pylons. and work from left to right, finally doing pylon by the orb and getting data, then zapping sentinels, then hoovering up sentinel bits. Oh, dont forget to pick up a relic.

Im off to do 12 runs at the weapons site next, I find that one is even easier.

Do I need to get the Obelisk Data for the blueprints? Or is that for the puzzle? Cause I found some obelisks at the Guardian site for the blueprints and I can't scan them.

Not all of them are active. You need them to unlock the guardian weapons because they are required mats for them but thats about it.

I'm still at Synuefe NL-N C23-4 planet B 3, which is where I get the module blueprints. But how long do I need to farm the orb exactly?

You don't need it for the Guardian FSD Booster, but you need 21 pattern epsilon boelisk data for hybrid power plant and 20 alpha data for the distributor.

You get one blueprint from the orb, and to get more you have to re-log, but you only need one blueprint (one orb scan) per each module you want to unlock.

For the data patterns α − ε you should scan obelisks at the 3 Ancient Ruins on the same planet.
If you went to Meene for the Ram Tah mission beforehand, scanning all obelisks at those 3 ruins will net you 32 mCR.

There are 6 modules you can get for Guardian Module Blueprints: FSD booster, power plant, distributor, shield reinforcement, hull reinforcement and module reinforcement.

Definetly worth it and easy. And it makes you realise getting guardian unlocks is not such a grind.
Well.. if you find it terribly tedious maybe ED isn't a game you'll ever really enjoy.
