I thought I would have the same issue...but my soft highland lilt doesn't seem to offend Windows too much. I did try to teach it Gaelic...it was worse than herding cats [rolleyes]

It sounds like the real deal to me. (I was going to say the real McCoy but that would be confusing! ;) )

Do not get "ELI" unless you are a masochist

Avoid the "ELI" voice pack unless you enjoy being verbally abused by your AI. The ELI voice-pack is described as "funny and profane" but mostly is neither. Except for a couple of F-bombs it just spends a lot of time telling you how stupid you are.

If you are into that sort of thing, have at it. I tried to exchange ELI for a different voice pack after a couple of days and HCS basically told me to F/off. Thing is, as I get better at flying the ship and playing the game I use ELI less and less, am down to only 4 or 5 ship functions now . . .

Personally I love Eli - he is probably one of my favourite voice packs.
