Solid card for the money and should be sufficient for 1080p with all the bells and whistles turned on.
If you find your frame rate with ultra settings to be high enough, there are also some driver settings and .xml tweaks that will let you burn some of those extra frames on even better visuals.
You don't need refresh. You need this

That's called the Thursday package.
Four bottles of whisky and two large pizza's.
But I'm supposed to be losing weight...

Just finished installing mate. I had a fight with the power connecter, as my 960 used an 8-pin but this is a 6-pin.

Just ran Elite. Over 60fps on ultra everywhere. I'm very happy.
I'm gonna' use the 960 to go towards an SSD next.

Great card, I had one for a short while - and I also upgraded from a 960 4gb.
That is, until I decided to budget into the home upgrade a used Rift and 1080ti.So the 1060 is now serving my broher-in-law. Indeed, this card is more than enough for 1080p gaming.
Couldn't agree more. All I wanted was a good 1080p experience, and that's exactly what I have now.
I mean the 960 was good, but this? Oh man is it sweet!
When the Witcher 3 came out, I also had the GTX960 at that time. It ran okay and of course I loved the game for other reasons than graphics. But when I bought the 1060 about a year ago, the first thing I did was I actually played through it again, enjoying all the graphical goodness I've missed and it was awesome.![]()
