Have there been any paid expansions that LEP'ers have not received?
Some people paid a lot of money for the LEP, I can imagine that they would be seriously cheesed off if FDEV would pull a stunt like that. Me, I paid 40 pounds extra for the LEP during Kickstarter, so I'm grateful for all I get extra beyond Horizons.

I don't wanna use the E word here. But it does come accross like that rather with these threads.
This makes no sense. The point of LEP is not to get exclusive stuff unavailable the non-LEP-owners, but to have DLC and expansions included in a one-time purchase.
Yes. And therefore I can totally understand that LEP owners are miffed about the change of the payment model from seasons to... not-seasons?!
What I can't understand is every thread about "special content" for LEP owners. They shouldn't get any special content, but they should get free content for their advance payment.

Totally wrong. Seasons weren't even a thing when the LEP was created. It was expansions, yet despite FD's trickery LEP guys still got Seasons free. I guess FD need to go back to rip-off school. I hear there's a master class in LA somewhere.
Made me laugh on this one! Have some rep. Yes, as an early Beta backer I have the Lifetime Expansion Pass (in case anyone wonders what LEP means). I wouldn't bother telling anyone except to discuss this thread. I also have a Cobra Mk IV, gold/chome/midnight paint jobs, early Beta access, Horizons release etc etc. Given what I have received so far and whatever comes up (or not) in the future I'm just fine with it. It was after all about supporting Frontier to get this game going when they needed it. So far it seems to be working out OK. I'm embarrassed to even lookup how much I've spent in the Frontier store including merchandise that cost more than the game and LEP. But that's just me.
Still it is pretty cool when I go grocery shopping wearing an ED T-shirt, someone I don't know comes up to me and we go nuts for 30 minutes talking about how to play ED! Seems that the game is pretty popular in Indiana USA. Go figure.
Meanwhile I have two other accounts on the PC and PS4. They get NOTHING! No LEP, no Cobra Mk IV, pay for anything in the future including buying paint jobs three times if I fly the same ships in all three accounts. But that is OK. These accounts give me options like flying to the other side of the galaxy and when I'm about to go crazy go back to the main account in the bubble and have some fun. The PS4 is dialed into my gaming chair which can be more immersive than the PC versions. For fun I actually tried it with the Logitech G29 car racing wheel system. Weird but it sort of works. All the PS4 buttons are there.
Long ago Frontier decided that single player offline wasn't going to be possible. Well, that created a really big flap/discussion plus a salt mine as it could have provided multiple commander saves and we wouldn't have to purchase multiple accounts. Programming I understand in a live online universe where every player has an affect this wasn't going to work. One can lookup the many threads on that one. No need to start it here again.
So enjoy the game and have fun. Spend or don't spend what you want. People going for flight simulation with X-Plane 10/11 spend many thousands to enjoy that one including subscriptions to real life aviation sites displayed on their iPad and integrated into the simulation. Others for around $5000.00 build a complete aircraft dashboard not even including the three monitors setup. Would you spend $80.00 USD for one detailed commercial airliner? How about $1400.00 for a custom controller setup just to fly helicopters? Online fly-ins have serious traffic controllers expecting a player to know how to communicate correctly and no aircraft has beam lasers. ED players get off seriously cheap!
Meanwhile here is the appropriate picture. It's a game...Enjoy it.

When Frontier sold the LEP seasons weren't a thing. The LEP simply said owners would be entitled to all 'expansions', which they still are.
The Horizons and beyond seasons were expansions, and whatever new features and content Frontier sells in the future, whatever the monetization model, will be equally covered.
Nothing has changed.
This is why I think we should start putting the LEP stuff on the ED wikipaedia.
People took Frontier on faith up front, there was a level of trust there, we took Frontier on what they said, which in hindsight was clearly a mistake.
Putting how this has panned out (in purely factual terms) in the ED wiki page helps inform other people, so that people CAN do research and CAN make an informed decision.
They dropped the pay in advance for a season approach and put in a free year of QOL improvements (not finished on that yet, but it has been well received). They did that in response to what the players were asking for.
It has no effect on an LEP, freebies for all being verboten was never part of the LEP.
Please do it, I'm sure your perspective on the matter will be entertaining if nothing else.
Probably better to just point people at actual FDEV quotes, or what LEP's are in the first place.
Not the best/most reliable source they keep changing their minds; they stated there'd be 'premium content' this year and then changed their minds.
Is there any point, all it takes is one entrenched ED Wiki admin to knock it back.
