Disable Gunner Seat in Multicrew. Please?

Actually quite a Shock this isnt a thing yet.

Every time i fly my Cutter and open up for multicrew, people notice the Packhounds and IMMEDIATLY Jump into the gunner seat even though i have 2 beautiful Imperial Fighters with Midnight Paint and Blue Lazo0rs.

If i then try to write that they shall use a fighter, multicrew-bugs strike me right in the face and instead of tiping im using SCB's and whatnot because the chatwindow is bugged.

Give us a "disable gunner COMPLETELY" Button please.

If you disabled the Packhounds from the module panel would this kick them from the gunner seat or beforehand would it prevent them from crewing into it?

+1 for the suggestion, I thought it was already an option, seems like common sense to me.
 
Maybe it would be best to have 2 new options under find crew member: Invite Gunner and Invite SLF pilot. That way multicrew players could search for their preferred roles specifically and you could restrict them to specific actions.

It's already hideous trying to find a ship advertising one of the various types right now....

I often wish for a "just find me a ship to be crew on, I don't care what they are doing" button.

So, separating it more is more buttons to continuously spam.

I've been crew on a lot of ships where doing both makes sense, though. e.g. when a pilot gets shot down, they can hop on as gunner while they wait for a replacement fighter to be ready.
 
I quite enjoy the gunner seat and quite enjoy having a gunner on board too.

What I don't enjoy, is to drop into a random multicrew session with a mute helm grinding a CZ or a Res, quite happy to have two Cmdr's adding to his/her DPS rather that NPC's he/she can't be bothered to level up.

Sadly, random sessions, more often than not, tend to get you a seat on the latter.

So I vote middle ground, Babelfisch suggestion's a good one, yes.

Why not just ask them to not use the weapons but get in the SLF, and tell them if they don't want to fly the SLF then best they leave. If they don't leave then, kick them.

I mean, its not like FD really need to do anything here. You can speak directly to other players you know.
