The cargo panel in the inventory list tells us how much cargo we have on board. But it would make life a little easier if it told us how much empty space we have as well. When I’m stacking missions, I have to use a calculator to figure out how much remaining space I have, when I’m choosing which cargo supply missions I want.

It does... X/192 in my Python and X/704 in my T-9. Or do you want it to do the math for you?
It says how much cargo you have on board. X/728 for my Cutter.
It would be nice if it said something like: "665/728 (63 tonnes remaining)". When I sometimes manage to completely fill the cargo hold, displaying how much empty space one has would make it a little easier, for those of us who can't rattle off the arithmetic in our heads, and have to use the calculator on our phones.
