(esp Wing) kill pirate missions numbers too high imo

Is it just me who thinks killing over 100 targets is a bit nuts? For instance I had 2 missions a few days back, one was kill 9 and the other kill 12 and it took me pushing 90 mins to do them.
Now I am not asking them to be made easier however imo
1) the numbers do need to be reduced.
2) the game needs to spawn more targets
3)to add difficulty why now spawn wings of 10 or so targets.

Aside from when I acidentally hit silent running I was never in danger of getting blown up .... Tho I am sometimes in danger of falling asleep. ;)

The amount of time it takes to do some of these at elite (kill 78 of this) is almost in no circumstance worth the pitiful amount of gains ... 7mil sometimes.
 
This is what keeps driving me away from the game, I love doing combat but virtually all the missions have such high kill counts required and I don't have that amount of time to commit to it
 
Yep they are way too Grindy and the rep reward is rubbish these should be the best payers because they can't be done by bots

Totally agree!! I love fighting, but 100 targets in those missions within 24hrs deadline is waaaay to much for a gamer with real life. Plus, the income out of those is having really poor hrs/cr ratio.

I'd love the change.

Aren't these missions supposed to spawn mission USS where you find around 15 targets? At least the last time i've did it, this was the case. But they usually fly away and you need to "dot" them all to make them stay to get as many as possible in one go. Things can get busy than. My heavy engineered Chieftain had a rough time to run against 10+ NPC pirates at the same time :D
The bad thing is, those USS tend to spawn only once and than won't be seen again. Sometimes highwaking out and back helps to make them appear again
At the end i have needed way too much time for this sort of mission. Around 2 hours for 60 ships (which is quite fast, every 2 minutes 1 ship) but the payout was something around 12 mil which is not really good for 2 hours spent. I'v done that mission only because it has hurt a specific faction in influence to make them retreat faster. For this it worked quite well, but for money i won't touch 'em again.
 
I do love me some kill missions but yes, agreed. Too high kill count for me to usually bother. I do it when I have to (rank missions) but otherwise I stick to assassination to sate my lust for combat.
 
Yeah, there was an update a while back that suddenly changed these from sane to head beating on keyboard.

Dunno why.
 
exactly why I never do them.. give me a kill this notorious pirate mission. maybe have like 4 or 6 ships show up and I get paid.. don't have time to kill a fleet of pirates!
 
Hence the reason I joined the AEDC, and not do any stations pirate missions. Though they are not always available, we can accept to go to a system and attempt to kill the required number set by whom ever determines how many need to be killed. Pirates or other's. One can choose how many to kill, report the number, keep any and all rewards, and then move on to something else.
 
Hip 20277, Fabien City. 7 factions that depending on BGS all offer MM's to kill Calennero pirates next system over (several rez sites)

Add a rank 2 or 5 ALD PP bonus and suddenly you'll be making credits and mats hand over fist - YMMV but works really well for me and friends

If you have an opinion on the missions great however if you just want to troll then...........

Back in the day the numbers were far more manageable and on top of that mission targets regularly spawned in wings of half a dozen or more so it is not like I am suggesting something which has not already been in the game.

Piracy is so broken these days I'm surprised you can find enough targets to complete a mission.

Oh I forgot, NPC's don't follow the rules do they?
