While we have national flags for some ships I would like to add a decal of the Union Jack onto ships, I am not too fused about the decals for the Commander ranks but would like too see a few more decals for us to grease your paws with credits, so a little flag decal would be nicely situated above my cockpit and nicely appreciated.

I like the idea! as you say we already have ship flag schemes, so it Is possible 
However, to look on the otherside.1000 years in the future (especially one where we suffer from a world changing 3rd world war) it is unlikely our flags will remain the same. let alone be noted as there are numerous other earth-like worlds (like mars now ) with numerous countries no doubt.
Just think over the past 300 years how many countries have had new flags or changed flags over that space of time! nowput yourself 1000 years ahead

a very reasonable comment and one I would agree with, if it wasn’t for the fact the Lucky Lady, my Mk3 cobra wasn’t rocking a Union Jack paint job but she is, so God bless the Queen, Phil The Greek, pip pip, tally ho and Hussarh!! Most real ales should be served at the cellar temperature which is 12-14 C... It should not be flash chilled.
Here in Australia it doesn't matter if it is warm or cold, if it goes down, she goes down
That is just a personal preference though, I don't normally drink beer, I prefer my straight (various types) and wines. I must say, a good glass of wine/ bottle of beer/cider makes traveling the universe of elite more enjoyable!

Depends on the flag, really. If your country has a 2-3 colour flag with a unique pattern, it would work quite nicely in the current system. I'm Canadian, so my flag would work VERY well (For reference, have a look at the flag we paint on the tails of our CF-18s)
Now, if your country has a flag that shares a common pattern with several other countries (like the flags of many European countries), that might require a bit more work....
Roundels would be another option that could work, but you would probably run into the same issue with multiple countries having the same pattern with different colours.
