5000 LY for Palin, Destination Recommendations

I went to a spot that had a black hole inside a nebula with a neutron star illuminating it all that is now colloquially called "Black Treasure", TRAIKOA FL-P E5-4, there are videos on youtube of what it looks like if yo want a preview. Although I have to admit some of the other routes suggested with more waypoints sound cooler as you get to take in more scenery.

AFMU uses Ammo, most A class variants have more than enough for 10 even 20kly of neutron jumping repairs, also the AFMU only uses ammo when repairing and can only repair modules while they are switched "off" so dont click repair in SC otherwise you will emergency drop, you have to manually re-activate modules once repaired too. most of us keep the AMFU switched off to save power and use lighter powerplants for better range, but if you have the power keeping them on does not do any harm or consume ammo / materials.

I thought I had read the AFMU keeps repairing as long as it it turned on but maybe I was wrong about that. Apparently modules must be turned off to be repaired and then re-powered after repair so maybe I was confusing that part. o7

I do plan on taking the big red button home. [yesnod]

I might make it more interesting by seeing how close I can get to a sun, I do love BBQs!

Would also be fun to suffocate in space, anyone know a way to ensure your canopy gets taken out?

This is a fairly interesting way - once.
Put ship into supercruise, firewall the throttle and just fly away. Pick a star and fly towards it. I did that in a sidey many years ago. Ran out of fuel after an hour or so and that's when it started getting interesting. A bit creepy IIRC. Haven't done it since and won't do it again.

Go that way, really fast!! If something gets in your way... turn.
Totally OT, but one of my favorite movies ever :)

On topic - I just did a trip out to the Crescent Nebula for my 5k trip. There's an asteroid base there I'm holed up in until 3.3 goes live, then I'll head back Palin's usi g the new FSS. If you've not seen an asteroid base before, it's an additional bonus :)
