T'was the night before update, and all through the house,
Everyone was clicking, furiously on the mouse.
The update was hung, in the launcher once more,
While visions of paintjobs failed to load in the store.
When up in the kitchen there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my office chair, to see what was the matter.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear?
But a fat, lazy cat, who'd knocked over a beer.
I swore like a sailor, but under my breath,
waiting for the download, like the universe waiting for heat death.
And laying my head, aside the keyboard to wait,
that's when I happened to notice the date.
I stood once more, feeling bitter and surly,
I'd tried once again to update, a day early.
