We do not demote people for inactivity as some groups do, although we may occasoinally do an annual culling of people that logged in once or whatever, if you've introduced yourself and chatted with us, your membership is secure no matter how infrequently you log in. :)

Animus in this context is motivation for conflict, man's innate barbarism. We study conflict in order to both master its technique, and also where possible, prevent it.

Gotta take those opportunities when presented. ;) Being both fed and largely lawful, we are a rare breed with a powerful identity and ethic, I like to think the combination plus our ambition makes us interesting to a wide demographic.

Its certainly keeping me honest, a third of our members joined in the last 48 hours!

Have you been playing ED as an independent pilot? Thrusting through the lonely black without the camaraderie of others because you've been conditioned to regard "strangers" as all too likely to be "enemies," or "griefers?"

Are you frustrated that you've fallen in love with an experience that could be oh-so-much more fun if only you could share it with a community of folks who played the heck out of this game in a cooperative manner, having a ball and actually accomplishing meaningful objectives while being totally cool with your going your own way when you want to?

Are you suffering the ennui of wondering what to do now because this week's community goal totally misses the mark for you? or worse, that its clearly benefiting nobody but some inbred, despotic Empire noble?

Does the idea of making your mark on the galaxy, flipping the occasional system from an anarchist hive of leprous, oppressive, villainy to an organized and secure, freedom-loving and productive beacon of trade and progress appeal to you?

[The actor gets up from his over-stuffed chair (it takes him a couple of tries -- it's a REALLY deep chair). He walks over to the fireplace and, after a quick glance down to make sure he's correctly on his marks) rests his arm on the mantle and continues speaking.]

Have you nearly sprained ocular muscles eye-rolling at the lame posturing of sad, angsty seal-clubbers and dishonorable gankers who, immune to cognitive dissonance, desperately and incessantly insist they provide valuable emergent content, blind to the fact that well-adjusted adults guffaw over those griefers' specious arguments justifying their self-worth and contribution?

Don't you wish that unicorns were real and you could generate income out of the equity you have in your house?

[The actor gives an affected little chuckle.]

Well, we can't help you with that latter fantasy, but we're sure having a helluva time playing ED and are looking for more fun-loving, lawful, like-minded pilots to have fun and spread prosperity with us!

If you want to take the fight to the griefers with people that'll have your back and help you get better -- that's us. If you're not interested in PvP at all, but simply enjoy running missions, bounty hunting, exploring, protecting humanity from Thargoid aggression (or learning how you might do that), or even just hanging around in the lounge jawing with folks who're as interested in your stories and you having a good time as they are, that's GARD.

Join us. We're making the galaxy, and ED, a better (and more fun!) place. No matter what mode you play in. Or what platform you're on.

Well, I must say this is very tempting.

My playgroup has been flatlining for a while and a group into non griefing PvP plus anti xeno and high end PvE is very alluring...

Let's say that if my player group does not do the lazzarus thing after 3.3, well you'll have a new recruit. XD
