The Last Day

I live in (or near) Cambridge, lol... so not the colonies. But I thought, these forums are made of salt, and more than a little vinegar.
That said, it could be chips... thick cut, served with battered fish and drowned in vinegar, with a 2.8" crust of salt on top...

Blasphemer! You ALWAYS put the salt on before the vinegar. You don't get the proper "salty rat" flavor the other way around. Or at least thus spake old Fred, who owned the chippy I worked at some (ahem) decades ago.

Only if Served and EATEN from Paper!! ;)

Naturally, though these days it's likely to be a polystyrene tray wrapped in plain paper... I mean, don't they realise that half their customers only come in to get the latest news?

I won't argue. I've personally not eaten more than the bare minimum of salt in years.

Meh, The ratio would probably be like for every one player that hates something about ED and posts complaints there is fifty that absolutely are having a ball with the game and don't need to post about their joy on the forums.

Just like in the outside world, for every one discontented citizen that hates something the government has done there are 2000+ complacent and apathetic happy citizens that rinse and repeat their daily grind, possibly oblivious.

I personally, have had a few whinges about this game but I am happy that Frontier team that works on ED puts in the effort to improve.

I will either buy something in the store to support or I won't if there was no improvement.

I have done some research and have realized how massive a task and a large business risk it is to code and create a game from scratch, as well as, hoping it can compete and succeed against other games in a competitive market.

The ED team have to deal with a game architecture that has a lot of things that can get buggy instantly and then you only have the salty gamers posts to read.

I just hope the next expansion will be something that builds and unleashes the potential of this game as there are a lot of areas they could build upon if they get creative and technical.

Will we miss 'Board Flipping'? or will FD replace the need to 'Flip the damn board' with some amazing Mission and Passenger boards?

i know i am in a minority but whilst i DO hope for amazing new missions on the mission boards, i am happy this has been fixed even if not. it means as someone who never cheesed that particular exploit (note i am not judging those who do) i can now compete and will not feel like i am wasting my time when it comes to BGS stuff.

but as i said, i know i am in a minority here.

"In the future, everyone will want to be anonymous for 15 minutes"

Fixed that for you :D

(What Banksy said this morning....)

I'm in orbit of a pair of Earth-likes with my name on awaiting my probe activation. Then it's a 19.7KLy trip back, to get used to / fall in love with / rage quit because of (delete as appropriate) the new FSS mechanics (and make a few hundred mill upon my return to "civilisation")

And so it begins .... ;)

(FDev said the Mamba fixes would probably be in a post-release update)

Okay thanks. I read that it was fixed - but that was only in the beta then and not in the first release code. Yeah, that will generate som salt for sure. I was one of those who told them in the chat during the livestream presenting the Mamba before the beta that it obviously had a serious heat problem. Still - it wasn’t corrected untill later in the beta, and now you tell me that the fix won’t be in the first code. Salty salt ahead, and rightly so IMO.
