You can see the inside of the Krait Phantom (behind the cockpit)

I have come across a bug (which I have reported) where the inside of the Krait Phantom and Asp Explorer (I have not tried other ships) is displayed over the FSS.

The image below shows the cockpit at the top with another room behind:

This only happens in VR, and is rather a strange experience [woah]

Was a beta bug. I wonder if anyone actually reported it? I couldn't be bothered, thought someone else would do it. A cool way to look at the internals of all the ships, needs to be fixed though.

Sorry, I tried inserting the images form imgur but does not seem to have worked :-(

I have added links instead :)

I can't see any image. Which makes it even more intriguing.

Nothing special, you can walk around in VR and do the same. THe ship internals are just a wireframe mesh.

Here's the bug, shows the T-10 Cargo bay and hangar. Cycling the FSS mode fixes it. It only hapeens if you try and exit in a certain way.

Had the same happen to me yesterday when I tried out the FSS. Have no clue how I did it and will try to avoid repeating it :)

Yeah, I had that happen to me too. Was kind of hoping it would show something besides the cockpit and hangers, though. Like a hint at what's to come but not officially revealed ;)

Is that true for all ships? Even older ones like the Type-9 for example?

Maybe I'm imagining things, but I sorta remember a dev video a long time ago (pre-Horizons) where they were saying that the interiors of the ships are already modeled, or at least laid out, because they plan ahead for future features (presumably space legs).

While I look at this I have come to understanding we will never walk around, their would have to much graphical work needed to be done

Devs have always said the internals (for future modelling) are mapped out from the design phase. That goes for every ship. None of the ships in game have actual internal modelling.

Braben spoketh a long time ago saying something along the lines of.. "we designed all the ships with empty compartments inside. so we could add internal places to walk around in easier later."

Those places might not have textures at all. So would be invisible.
