Is Galnet Audio still a thing?

It's the button highlighted in yellow:

When you press it it will populate your playlist with all playable Galnet articles.

Are you saying your galnet articles still have audio attached to them? Because none of mine do, Galnet audio is completely missing from my game as of last night.

Sure my play button is still there like your pic shows, but Galnet itself has nothing at all to play nor queue up.

Yup, definitely does:

it might be worth getting in contact with support if yours doesn't :]

Maybe of note is the fact I'm actually running a beta version, renamed and patched over to live by the Frontier launcher (to save on bandwidth).
Steam insists I update my game still, but it's working flawlessly so far and I get Galnet audio...

You know, that might have something to do with it. I'll wait until AFTER the Thursday morning tick to see if it's still silent. Might be you're getting audio files from the beta that those of us who didn't participate in it don't get until later.

Ugh... GalNet Grind...

"Here's this week's top stories... Last week, these seven stations, listed one by one, in agonizing detail, were shut down due to thargoid junk.. blah blah blah... In other news, some CG completed, and there was much rejoicing. In other news, the other half of that same CG also completed successfully, and there was much rejoicing. Meanwhile, on the other side of the bubble, some NPC you'll never actually see in the game did something you were completely unaware of, and while it carries no actual in-game repercussions, except perhaps for spawning off three more similar articles, read in this same monotonous tone that'd you'd probably pay real money to replace, like you can your COVAS... blah blah blah, you'll hear all this again in about half an hour, as Last Week's Top Stories, but told in future tense, because this stuff is all static anyways."

You mean that GalNet audio?

Sure, it's better than reading it, but how much of it can you really listen to before you pop your canopy and jump, just to make it stop?

Same here, I tried yesterday on PS4 and I couldn't listen to it, didn't work.

Happy it works.
It is nice sometimes when exploring to listen.
And.. It could always be worse:
"We now return to our regularly scheduled 2 hours of Thargoid Opera."
Or better...
"The Federal Navy Lark with Jon Pertwee, Leslie Philips and Stephen Murray"

I like it. It adds to immersion and that's what I'm all about.

I love the idea. I like the option. I’m just not thrilled with the execution. The voice leaves much to be desired. Just hit play results in endless tedious droning. Setting it up every time to play the stories you (I) want to hear, well, I can read them faster.

It just needs, like most things, more refining.

I see we have the quick button back but not yet the option to individually play articles we want. I expect this quick fix is until those elements of the Galnet UI can be reintegrated in a full patch later?

Also, did fixing galnet audio break the ability to assign codex articles to a playlist? I can't seem to make this work any more even though they still have the button for it.

On PC I can select an article (actually highlight and select, not just highlight it), and then I get play and add to playlist buttons.
