New mining improvements, absolutely love them.
That being said, ran into an odd issue last night that I'll try to recreate tonight.
As I was mining, utilizing the new methods, my shield was taking intermittent damage. I kept an eye on it, it wasn't from the deep core explosion or anything as the roids I was working on had no fissures, and I wasn't rubbing up against anything at the time, I used the camera suite to double check.
It seems like the new "nuggets" created by the abrasion blaster and subsurface deal are counted as impacts when your limpets bring them back to your cargo hold, and appear larger than the traditional "nuggets" created by the mining lasers. My C5 bi-weaves were taken down 3 times over the course of 2 hours. Anybody else notice this?
I'm going to hop back on tonight and see if I can recreate the issue for more detail. Was flying my Type-9. Planning on using the camera suite to see if I can detect impacts on the shields while collecting and will update with screenshots if I remember. If any other miners out there have noticed this, please let me know. [up]
