4A Games were on schedule, they were even ready one week ahead. Well done :) has to be mentioned as it's rather uncommon in the videogame industry.

I have been a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan since 2007. Even though the initial metro games have kept the atmosphere of the Stalker games the game design of linear levels and story made me feel a little underwhelmed. Metro Exodus however brings back the original formula of Shadow of Chernobyl. The combination of sandbox and linear gameplay where it allows for just enough player freedom to explore, experience and express themselves and still stick to somewhat of a storyline.

Dead excited about Exodus and will be keeping a very close eye on the reviews. My aging laptop is already crying about the future strain METRO Exodus will cause it. Best of luck to the A4 guys.

I don't know if you have read the books which the Metro games series is based on, if not, you really should. Yes, the story of Metro: 2033 and Last Light (which is based on Metro: 2034) were a little bit underwhelming, but nevertheless i had real fun playing them. I don't know why but the dystopian feeling of both the books and the games thrilled me more than Fallout games ever could.

I read two of the books. 2033 and 2034. Immediately I had to imagine a full New Vegas style open world RPG game set inside the Metro covering the entire lore map. Different factions, relations, environments and quests. It would be the dream. So much potential in it and they should head to that direction after Exodus.

Maybe they do head into that direction, the Metro Universe is quite big now and there surely is a possibility of more Metro games, I would love a game were I could stroll around the whole Moscow Metro.

I have high hopes for this game, one of my most anticipated games for 2019. Will be the first open-world in the Metro Series. Loved the Stalker series, especially Call of Prypiat, and this new Metro installment seems to head somewhat in that direction.

As far as I understood the term it means the Master Copy has been made ready for production which is then followed by the actual release.
The term "going gold" means nothing in the current day and age. It means the assets are ready for printing (which still happens on some platforms), but they are still preparing the day one patch with the actual release of the game.

Going gold does matter. It's something studios internally look forward to, I celebrated 3 going gold parties. It's a very important day for developers who spend time and energy working on the same product for many many years.

I really hope you're right. I loved all of the STALKER series, and the brilliant modding community. If ME comes close I'll be over the moon, but I've a feeling it'll still be more linear than any of the STALKER games.

Thank god, no.

Amen brother!
