How do you turn planets back to normal in supercruise after you've scanned them

Yes yes - I know I should have figured this out more in the beta, but I was busy.... Anyway I've totally reset my bindings with all the new stuff (there was serious "creep with weird settings" and after the update all hell broke loose, good time to rationalize things again)…. anyhoo - after I DSS scan a planet - I now have a nice blue planet with a grid on it. How do you get rid of it? I've golf balled it completely, when I drop out of supercruise it looks normal - but back in SC it looks blue and "Griddy". Any way to turn this off?

You can "fix" it by switching to combat mode and back, at least works for me

Thanks. Still not sure though. Am out in the black with no weapons, just been practicing scanning things with the new system. I can scan the system, go in an out of FSS mode, scan a planet and drop golf shot on it, but afterwards (even when away from planet) I can't get rid of the grid. If I relog then all is well. How do you switch back to "combat mode"?

In the controls in the "mode switches" section you can bind a key for toggling analysis and combat mode. You don't need any weapons or anything to be able to use combat mode. The term is a bit confusing and should be renamed to, I don't know, "normal mode"?

Thanks everyone... I knew it had to be there somewhere. Didn't pay attention earlier in beta, but now back in game realized I didn't know how to switch.

For reference - it's in the "Mode Switches" menu - "Switch HUD mode"

Aaaaaah, now theres a bind i missed. That explains a lot of my beffudlement. Cheers. Didnt know about mode switching. I just bound my fss on/off.

Right? I thought that turning the FSS or DSS off would switch back - but no... Am awaiting the Elite Octopus pack for enhanced 512 keyboards.... he he

BTW thanks to all responded - sorted it all out, all awesome and rep all round :)
