Just tried the new Conflict Zones CG for Q4 update. What a mess FD.

Doesn't it bother you with each release we are expected to submit elaborate bug reports on issues FD could recreate themselves by simply playing their game one time?

The control bug is obvious, the freeze ups occur, and a trip to a combat zone during a single playthrough might be all it takes to reveal this issue.

They have been working on this all year. These kinds of flaws shouldn't be released with a majorly anticipated update such as the Q4 one. This trend needs to stop. I just wish to play and enjoy Elite without this trend of needing to wait for additional patches for blatantly missed bugs and flaws.

My thread's intent is to implore FD. So I really hope they listen.

Oh it bothers me immensely.

yes, it the usual disgrace, sorry, unexpected consequences. but just sit back and let others sort it out. wait 2 patches aprox. there's not going to be more than that but those should fix at least the biggest offenders. this may look selfish, but people is actually too eager to do just that, so why not let them. frontier for sure does! it's been this way since day 1, it gets worse with each iteration because each iteration means more code, shortcuts, fragmentation and cheap decisions just piling up. frontier gets away because people accept it. it is not going to change, you might aswell spare yourself any headaches by letting others deal with it (namely, those who promote this situation in the first place. screw them :p)

or play it like you would play an alpha build which is what it actually is in terms of stability and testing. expect anything, and just laugh and don't worry about it.

dunno if that's faith, desperation, or both ...

I haven't played since the patch dropped. I usually give it a few weeks for hotfixes.

Yeah. I just got wanted again. The CG is a mess with this problem. Unplayable in my personal opinion unless a quick patch comes through allowing us to enjoy the CG as intended.

What bothers ME is when I do extensive testing in the beta, fill out bug reports for serious bugs discovered in the first stages of said beta, then the bugs not only get released into live, but go unfixed for a year+. Every major release I can remember had many serious bugs in them that were immediately apparent to anyone playing.

You do realize you are playing a game thats major feature release after 4 years is guild chat?

4 years
The ability to form a group and communicate with people in that group...

This is the game you are complaining about.

They still haven't added a 15 minute combat log timer to open.
I remember these same gripes in the first few days of the release, after 2.2, and after 3.0
Hold your breath. You can be a martyr for the cause.

and the pay is still horrible... besides mat farming and a change of pace, there's no real point.

Their purpose is to win wars, not earn credits.

How do armys win wars? Do they do it by hoping someone shows up and wins it for them with little to no incentive? Is it your suggestion that we should be underpaid with very little incentive to the risk involved because we want to win a war with factions that don't even recognize us as being apart of them?

Sure. The less healies-for-feelies botting exploiters around, the better. I'd fight the wars for free, but apparently people don't believe players who don't care for credits exist.

Frankly, I've done just fine for income with the way wars currently are, as has everyone else who's fought them to date.

For the record, I've fought in several conflict zones and still made =~ 50m inbetween bouts just today.

PS: Factions don't recognise us as part of them, because we're not. We're all independent pilots federation commanders, not members of the various factions.

i was so hyped for the update until i winged up with one (1!) friend, everythink did break apart!
No CZ was possible to play in a Wing,
Mining and FSS, welcome to the adjudication server.

What a completet mess, i won't expect that all of these problems magically disapear in a few weeks.

Congratz on once again, on a misserable buged update. Dejavu like after the "big" mission patch all over again.

Are you guys not ashamed at one point? The extraordinal visuals you give to us, won't hold long to disguise all the bugs in the background.

Like I said, jumping hoops. The game even displays the wrong information for the factions involved up top. Showed both as being dictatorships when in fact one is corporate. But that's a minor detail.

The fact is that all of us paid for this content through purchasing Elite and Horizons. The company make a lot of money through the cosmetics, since almost every ship I see has modified cosmetics. I myself have paid a lot and poured a lot of faith into this game. So I think it is about time the company were a little more meticulous with their update releases as this is becoming a trend, sadly.

I'm finding them to be really good fun.

I think your problem may have been attacking a special ops ship from your own side instead of the enemy wing you had an extra objective for. They can spawn on both sides. Only shoot the red ones don't go by the special ops tag alone, I almost made the same mistake the first time green spec ops arrived.

I don't play the background simulation but i liked to do conflict zone for some money from time to time. Without a war massacre mission on the side, the money on bond only is definitly not worth the time, which is a shame because CZ are far more interesting with the update.

Sorry, but that's presumptuous and ignores the others confirming this is indeed bugged and not working as intended. Just because it hasn't happened for you, please don't presume it is something regarding my lack of attention.

What you describe is not the issue.

I just want to be clear - you are saying that Cleans are spawning and shooting at you, which is the crux of this particular problem?
