I don't think the Cobra Mk I was planned for initial release, but I have fond memories of it from Frontier. It was one of my favourite ships to fly that wasn't a Cobra Mk III, along with the Adder. It had just the right blend of capability and challenge.

But they do both look "imperial" in design.

I think your right nicomak. It looks like the Hunter is about the size of a Viper. Elite could do with some smaller Imperial ships. They could do with a similar ship to the Cobra mk3.

I hope they go for more ships over time. Just invent a load of new ones. You can never have too many ships

Well I voted for the Asp because it was my favourite ship in the last game. I don't know if the next beta will have any new ships though tbh because of the sneak peaks from the last few newsletters have contained images of spacestations and outposts so I think the guy at Frontier might be saving the rest of the 25 for either gamma or the full release.
