Elections "coup d'etat" over 60% inf and conflict status going bad

In this case I don't understand how to win a conflict if influences are not changing. Any other values introduced with the new patch to look after?

As a postscript: When I defeated the faction in the CZ there was a message displaying that said something like small influence increase for the winning side! So what gives??

I thought that I was going nuts.
I have to agree with the idea that all the work we do for our faction is being attributed to the enemy faction.
Hopefully Fdev get this patched quick.
Best thing to do for now is to bow out of election/conflict missions.
Sad face.

You have a war status on the right panel when you go inside the system.

Of course, until FDev responds we have no way of telling what goes on here. But my hunch is it’s only the the progress bar showing the opposite than what it should be. I remember reading in some of the notes the when a side starts losing the conflict, capital ships might appear in CZs fighting for them. According to the war status has we are losing considerably and and capitals appear regularly for the other side.

they are effecting you only if you are in the instance at the same time. Otherwise, NPCs have no influence on BGS, in any kind.

Deareim, i probadly made some mistake in my post. Sorry about that, I can’t make any link between what I intended to say and your response. Can I ask you to elaborate, please? Thanks!

Maybe it is me :)
I thought you said that capital ship were influencing war while you were not playing in the instance. And I was saying that NPCs don t affect the BGS in the background. Sorry I misunderstood your post.

I see
what i tried to say was that the appearance of a Capital ship on our opposition side should be an indication of them loosing the war - even though the status bar says otherwise.

I must report a case of good functioning: yesterday we started elections (not "coup d'etad" but with influences matched): the Faction we did missions for…. today wins!!!! Probably the bug concerns only some systems? Some Factions? "Coup d'etad" conflicts?

Who can tell……..
Hope Devs fix that bug soon.

I cannot provide exact testing, but I have also my suspicion that elections mission are contributing unpredictably even for non-coup d'etat conflicts (despite the fact all of them are made for the same faction). Sometimes it may be beneficial, sometimes the opposite. A working idea also is that it may depend where the missions were accepted. Hard to tell, but definitely it seems to be odd.

Well, if the bug is only one side getting influence, one of the sides will be a winner ;)

I tried doing missions for the other side today... yeah didn't work at all. Now at Defeat/Close Defeat for the two elections.

Ok, we shot down a *%^load of opponent civilian ships, no effect to the conflict bar, thanks FDEV for ruining the BGS. There's no way to win.

I'll go exploring in the meantime, since my happy Notoriety-10 now.

And, it's useless to make speculations on "why the game is not responding to our actions" or "what we should do, maybe do mission for the opposite side?"

Because it is just broken. It is not working the way it is meant to be, and that's all. This is not the way a game -made for having fun- works. It is a nonsense that we should try to find a way to find a turnaround to make this stuff work, it does not work and must just be fixed by FDev.

Was the faction you did missions for the controlling faction anyway, by any chance?

Yes, we did missions for the controlling faction! And it works. IMO the bug is not everywhere. But sooner or later everyone will encounter it. C'mon DEVS !!!! Fix that beta-BGS we are playing!!!!! [mad]

I've also red my friend Falco further on that doing missions "in reverse" doesn't count to defeat bug….. In a Relase "fighting against a severe bug" like this is not tolerable.

FYI - murdering is bugged and raised security and inf instead of lowering it. I did a bug report on it.

OMG.
That was not foreseen.
I refuse to play this way, really. Doing missions for the opposite side to win? It's a joke.

Also, today something even weirder happened:

ooook - what's going on now.

Investment, afaik is now an economic state, and no longer an extension of expansion.
