Question to the visitors of Frontier offices, now that NDA ended.

I think we all remember not so long ago, where some people of our community were invited to Frontier offices, in order to be presented with the content of the recent update.
They told us that they saw the upcoming content, but they were under NDA, so they couldn't talk much with us, which makes perfect sense.
What else we were told, was that those people were invited, not so much for PR reasons, but to give their valuable feedback concerning ONLY this specific update of Q4.
As me and others posted back then that we would wait and see, the waiting period has passed, and now that their NDA is over, they can freely speak and answer questions.

If anyone wants to use this thread to post some questions to the visitors, be my guest.
For me personally, i only have a couple of questions and i would like specific answers, as specific will be my questions.

I imagine that you guys were gathered in a large room where you saw the upcoming content (which now is live) and you were asked for feedback and Frontier people were taking notes of your feedback, as you told us. So i can imagine that you raised hand or waited for your turn to give your feedback for what you saw, and i believe that not everything was "wow that was perfect". Now i would like to ask:

In all the feedback, were there any points raised that for example, some stuff was not so good, or other stuff should be done in this way instead of the other, or that thing should also have this and that? That was rhetoric, we know it happened.
So did you see in the live version any significant changes on the material you saw that day, that were a result of your feedback in that specific day in that room?? Did Frontier "used" that feedback? Did they listened? And if yes, then what was it like before and after?

Given some of those are basically all but paid by Frontier for promotion, I wouldn't put it past them to have gotten hyped by the PR spiel and agreed that even the flawed trash we have now was great. Especially since they got catered to in the first place by being invited.

I rode past their offices on my noisy superbike during the summer. I had a survey elsewhere in the science park. I even beeped as a sort of tribute honk. But to be fair, the beep is lost under the boom off my little red italian v-twin. Science Park rd would make a pretty good track if it wasnt for the geeks in their milk floats getting in my way.

Your words are rather unkind, but they are underpinned by a fundamental truth. People who have income streams dependent on the commercial success of ED probably aren't best positioned to offer genuine feedback. That's why focus groups are either chosen at random or picked to represent a fair reflection of the demographic. That whole NDA thing was a PR exercise. There was basically nothing in the release that wasn't known anyway...apart from that orrery map that looks dreadful. There's no way fdev spent the money and time in bringing those guys in to give them an exclusive look at that. It was marketing abd generation of hype.

My issue here is what you call flawed trash I do call a massive step forward in the game.
Is it perfect? No far from it the UI is clunky and creaking at the seams, the balance is a mess esp with the road to elite in exploration and the persistent usses are broken and persist past when they should ... However..... Visually it is better, the new ships are very detailed, exploration is actually something we do now rather than a fully passive process and mining has loads more to it.

There is more stuff to find and more stuff to do. Over all I am happy (but hungry for more)

Well if this is the result of their feedback, we need better influencers.

This just didn't work, and leaves being even more skeptical the next time I hear some no-body was invited to beers with the boys.

It seems the majority of the community likes the flawed trash we have now.

Any metrics?

Looking at the bug board, reading the forums, and FB groups, and I'm more likely to believe it's a toss up.. Some like the new mini-games some don't. I find it hard to beleieve 'majority', unless you mean majority of the sheep.

The serial whingers have had to resort to complaining about censorship and making things up. On balance I'd say their obvious salt level indicates great things for the game and an increase in player contentment.

Thanks for reminding why I need to stop coming to this dump.
Same 8-10 complainers doing the same whining for years. And they never move on to something they enjoy as they moan here endlessly for “the good of the game.” Please stop helping me and telling this sheep what he should enjoy and support with money earned.
And don’t worry. DB thinks your special too. You can have lunch next time snowflake.

Try reading the topics that aren't negative? Baaa

(I wonder if I can reach elite in posts just by responding to a few posters?)

The majority on Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, And Steam are enjoying 3.3, easily outweighing the minority in the community complaining about 3.3 :)
