Horizons I am seeking information about the SRV turret, again...

Good day, all

While digging through the different forums about the SRV turret, I have come across the term 'manual turret', or 'manually operating the turret' and/or words to that effect. That led me to think that, maybe, there is a way to make the turret remotely fired from the driving position. Does anyone know about such a thing?

And while we are talking SRV turret, is there a way to avoid those pesky 'incoming missile' that keep knocking me over tea kettle?

You can fire straight ahead when you are driving so that maybe why they call it "manual turret" but other wise no.
You will get good at driving and firing in the turret view in time.
The missile thing sounds like you are out at the guardian ruins? If so then drive away fast and hide behind stuff it the only thing I have found that works.

Don't people park their ship nearby so that the PDT takes out the missiles? (I've only been to Guardian ruins once, ages ago and did the dodging and diving then.)

Yes this works really well. Two Point Defence systems is more than enough to deal with all the missiles.

Thank you all. I have been practicing my driving and firing (run'n'gun, I call it...). I am getting better at it and may even become almost fairly ok! I really like the idea of PDTs, which I did not have when I went Guardian baiting (it seems that is all I do, bait them!).
