Don't think this old commander will make Elite again.

Once Elite, always Elite. You cannot change the nature of the beast, with new fancy naming conventions, or making new rules for it. It cares little for borders, or names. It stays true only to itself!

(Youngster from 1969 here. And only made it to Deadly. :D )

1970 here, and I know that's not even close. There's a guy on the EightyFours thread who's 71. I hope when I hit my 7th decade I'm still capable of working a stick. (Hey, none of that! You know what I mean.)

In the mean time, I just had to get my first set of reading glasses, I'm already having to ask people to repeat themselves, and I can't remember why I walked into the room sometimes.

But I have Elite! So I got that goin' for me, which is nice. :D

For a moment I tough I had an exotic desease, but now I see is the 40's, because I'm experimenting your simptoms, and I am wearing my first pair of glasses too, my arms are just too short to hold a book, like a T-rex

Like fine wine....

I'm just going to leave this here and let you be the judge.

Freeport has it right... Never Surrender

Better if I had not clicked on the spoiler when my mouth was full of coffee, which is now in a tissue after being on the screen and the keyboard. :D

Well, I can go for a couple of hours as long as I have enough beer. By the way kids, 1943 here, retired and really getting off on Elite Dangerous.

1967 here...
Good to see a decent community of life experience.
If we put our heads together we could really... wait... Oh dammit I've put odd socks on again, and it's so far down there.

Faber Castle

I still have my Faber Castell and it doesn't need batteries :D

Hi Mojonaut,

Mine's a Faber Castle too!
For "Mechanical, Constructional and Electrical Engineers"
it wasn't my first one, but I still carried it around with me even when I got a new fangled calculator

1946 here, I think my old Mum and Dad long gone now both of em, celebrated the end of WW2 as I came along the following spring.

Funny really I came in with a bald head, wrinkly skin, making funny gah gah noises, not knowing anything. Probably end up going out the same way the way things are going.

But I can fly around the galaxy reliving the good old days.;)

You were one of the first baby boomers! Lot of celebrating went on. :D My sister was born 1946 too. 1956 for me. Guess I'm not the oldest old fart here. ;)

Always great to see such a wide variety of age brackets represented in a gaming community.

It's the sign of a great product and an even greater support for it David should be quite proud of what he has accomplished.

In a few years you will have more trouble getting to sleep. You will spend more time to ED

;)
Oh yes the sleeping bit. I am sure that as we decline physically our bodies say to us we need less food, less sleep, less going out into the dangerous real world and more, much more Elite.

Isn't old age wonderful.:)

1972 here, kids dont need (hardly) any attention any more so I've found I have more time on my hands for gaming than ever... However saying that, my Events Co-ordinator (read: wife) just finished her degree after 5 years so having had all that time whilst she studied, now all I get is "What are we doing this weekend?" questions...

I foresee an inevitable lack of E: D time - Second account and another gaming rig might be in order come release!! ;)
