Which 3.3 concerns/issues were acted upon?

I know the for frontier standards intense pr communication offensive to state the otherwise.. but really? Why would they bother if they genuinely don't work that way.

{snip}

Anyways, the point is not to be emo about it, its to change expectations to how it is, and call out the community management. It completely hoodwinks less interested or new players into thinking frontier are a chummy community focused developer, but they are literally not. Actions.. not words are better read.

DDF.

Need I say more?

Although several weeks seems like a long time, it probably isn't when you have to program/test the changes. Same with previous betas, lots of things fixed, but not much in the way of revised features.

FDev have full control of the timelines - maybe they should increase the betas and testing phases, and move them further away from the proposed release date to give themselves more time.

Yes I'm going to say like the system Star Citizen uses with it's 5 or 6 tiered system - sure it takes longer but you know what? After that pretty damn extensive testing system not a lot gets through that either doesn't work at all, or doesn't work well enough, and it seems quite clear the "good enough" bar is set pretty low by FDev's higher ups.

Worse still there are still too many players who will lap it up and rain praise down on FDev for a mediocre job.

I truly lament the days when the players weren't used as paying playtesters.

'course, if there were copilot NPCs who actually could take over, and you could move to another station (even via teleport spells) so as to leave the captain's couch available, you could let Doofus McAI deal with most of those external problems while you play the FSS minigame.

I agree, let the NPC copilot the ship while you do your explorer thing. It's come to the point where - just like in complex fighter jets - the complexity is such that you need two pairs of hands.

After probing a planet, the anomalies shown in the NavPanel are numbered now.

The absolutely minimum amount of effort possible to satisfy the community concerns - but hey, it's a change based on community feedback and will allow us to distinguish the anomalies on a planet.

And you are basing that trust on what evidence exactly?

Well, the "70/30" ended up working out alright for me at least. I presume Frontier would like to do what they can for both the game and players still. It's been a bit of a rocky road though.

Yet all next Gen fighters either operational now or under development are all single seats: F-22, F35, Eurofighter - and I dare say they are more complex than the venerable old Tomcat!

They also network and triangulate/correlate data extremely well with modern technology systems, but that's getting a bit off topic I suppose.

Remember, this is a WW2 flight sim in space sci-fi type game after all... ;)

So here's a list of some issues raised with exploration and mining I'm aware of. I lost track during beta if these were addressed?

Exploration
  • Being able to enter the System Map directly from the FSS? [Yes/No]? NO
  • Being able to Supercruise while in the FSS? [Yes/No]? NO

Rediculous IMHO!

Game breaking crashes were fixed.
Mixed languages on the right hand panel were fixed.
Objects showing as blue glows that aren’t there on the FSS were fixed.

Just to name a few.

Minor things will be addressed in descending order of how much they need fixed.

Ahhhh! So you agree they need fixing then at least :)
