Mining Push in ED is not fun and making me leave the game.

it seems now in the new patch we are forced to go to do mining with 82-90% of the missions in stations revolving around mining for metals
Considering I prefer to do trading missions this totally blows as there is nothing more mind numbing than watching a mining laser and i would rather play different games than do that in ED, GET THE HINT !!!
My faction also just lost a war cause the CZ are bugged and we cant get a head in conflict bonds,

Its broken and so fix it and also make the mission differences much more even, i dont want to see, 4 missions of bromelite. 3 missions of osmium, 2 missions of methanol monohydrate, i mission of Lithium and one mission i can do for getting semi conductors. and this is on a space station not a mining planet. It blows. How do i get trade rank to elite if im only able to pick up 1 maybe 2 missions in a station for trade in my own faction!!!!

new patch is so bad and not well thought out.

So every mission board in every system, regardless of economy type and system state, is packed with mining missions? That's kinda dumb, if true.

You have to take missions to get trade elite?

Wish someone had told me that, I just bought and sold a LOT of stuff.

I can't be positive, but I think you only need to sell for profit.

My trade income total is 580M Cr
My mining income total is 500M Cr

I couldn't tell you how many haulage missions I've done.

But I'm pretty sure that my mining income contributed to my trade Elite.

Problem is I didn't take much notice.

Then use a seismic charge launcher instead. Definetely not mind numbing... mind blowing if anything :)

Maybe look in another system? Still seeing plenty of trading missions and only few mining missions. Mission generation is based on things like economy type and faction state. Go to a high tech boom system and you will rarely see mining missions.

I got my trade elite doing one jump two way trades at 5mil an hour and earned my first billion that way.

I earned around half a billion mining at a relaxed pace yesterday which is crazy.

Maybe some heavy credit sinks are coming.

Or maybe FD listened to the players and finally decided that the fun of this game is buying, outfitting and flying your dream ships, and exploring/exploiting the galaxy in them.

Hmmm, plenty of cargo hauling missions and go fetch and bring stuff to us missions today. I was pretty much non-stop for hours. If you are trading you don't need any missions, just find what commodities stations are buying, go buy it and take it to them and sell it. Mining didn't do anything but add more tools so you can collect more stuff. Don't think the price of ore changed much did it? There might be a few more go mine stuff missions as well but nothing that clogged up the boards that I saw.

I actually haven't seen a single mining mission yet (in 3.3), the "problem" does not seem quite as prevalent as the OP makes it sound.

Go to another station economy and system state dictate missions generated nothing to do with the game.

Have seen maybe 2 mining missions in the past week, and I've been doing lots of mining all over the bubble. OP visited one station that really was looking for ores and extrapolated what he saw. Also, mining laser? Could at least try new mining methods. Ignorance is strong with this one.

I kindly suggest you relook at the new mining methods. They do not require watching a mining laser.

I personally find haulage, just jumping from one station to another without taking time to enjoy the view, really dull and a grind. But then that's beauty of Elite we can each play our own game :)
