How about a Frontier Store tab on the Forum?

Color me an idiot, but sometimes a poster will mention a skin or kit without posting a link.

I look at the three top tabs:

quite often.

Would it be impossible, or impossibly distasteful to have a button that takes you to the store?

Using my tablet in portrait mode, Frontier Network gets partly overwritten by Advanced Search. I'd never have noticed it if this thread hadn't made me go look for it.

Anyway, I just type Game Extras into Google. Google knows what I want - and, very probably, pretty much everything else about me.

Uhm, you never looked. There's a UI. User interface. You're supposed to use it. Randomly click if needed just to see what's there. May I suggest you stick to games and never try any of the X series of space games. Nor any RTS...

Pretty sure, because it keeps opening up the dropdown list when my pointer goes past and its quite annoying. And that didn't used to happen. So it's no more than a few months old, unless they "improved" (from a certain point of view, not mine) the UI to make it more responsive to mouseovers.

I like to give early release GUIs to users to test without help built in then ask them to jot down what they asked themselves while frustratedly poking buttons.

1) That stuff should go in the help
2) They won't click things in the order I programmed it in, so it's more likely they'll find bugs that way that I would never notice.

Damn who would have known - not me it seems. I think you should jazz up the Frontier Store bit - give it it's own tab. It will lead to sales.

It's not part of the forum though, it's an external link - a different website - so it's not really about not deserving a tab.

I've been known to start the game client to click on the Store link there.

I did know about the Store link on the forum under Frontier Network and I have it in my favourites.

You never can have enough options.
