More Ship Storage Slots?

Any news about increasing the space? I mean, we have more ship models now and my vanity garage in Jameson Memorial is at capacity.

Doesn't address of wanting them all in one handy place. It's fun to see them all listed. Besides, last time the number of ships outgrew the cap they raised the cap.

Well wanting is a funny thing. I want $62.3 million. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm working on it.

Besides, it makes far more tactical sense to spread your fleet out. Just imagine what would happen if JM were UA'ed into a shutdown that cut off the Shipyard. Or when it gets hit by Thargoids and the shipyards are on fire. It makes better financial sense as well. Why pay to ship a Corvette all the way from Shinrarta to the other side of the galaxy if you have one half-way there already?

Could you imagine what would happen to reddit and the forum if that happened? And people thought hotel california was bad...

Also OP I'm not against the idea of increasing ship storage. It does get pretty cluttered sometimes xD

Been here since PB and I only have 7 ships.
Tried the new ships on beta but can't be bothered with engineer snooze to get them decent.
From my point no real need to increase the amount of ships.

I repeat: They did the last time the number of ships outstripped the cap. If there's some logic they have in wanting the cap to be a certain number, sure, but thus far they seem happy to have whatever arbitrary number fits one of everything.

Equating a larger hangar cap with a lottery win is pretty facile.

The current capactity of a station is above the number of ships available.

Hey, whadayaknow?!

Turns out we are up to 38 ships now (including the CM4).
I thought we were still at around 33.

Station capacity is, AFAIK, 35.

*EDIT*

Gotta say, though, I don't have an issue with storage space.
Even as a bit of a shipaholic, I've never been stuck for space.

If it's easy to provide more storage, sure. Go for it, I guess.
If, OTOH, it could put a noticeably heavier load on the servers, it's not a big deal the way things are.

I imagine it's more likely to cause issues with display on the galaxy map, as it lists them there. It could potentially lead to improper rendering if it got too silly. As having ships in storage doesn't seem to interact with the actual instance, I'd be surprised if it caused any server side problems.

More Store-Space for modules as well appreciated! Appleause to Frontier if they increase the slots to f.e. 500.
There are so many kinds of engeneered modules for different ships with different purposes, there are the actual slots not enough.

The Thargoid devices have no effect on the stations anymore, but the point still stands.
I guess the transfer option is not removed if the dock is disabled.

It is one thing to know that you have bought all ships that can be bought in game and another to have them stored in one location, even with more docks in a system available. They are also already convenietly listed in the transfer menu available at any other dock. If I would have to guess, I would say that the increase could happen when the next round number is reached.

There is also still the option to use them as very expensive bookmarks for special locations that would get lost if you use a lot of bookmarks already.

Wouldn't it be cleaner to have a list of assets where you can see what each ship you have has, no matter where it is? You can then add "Plot route to ship", "Sell at station", "Transfer here" and any future non-owned ship commands to this page. Put that manifest in the commander page.

And if you didn't want to get confused about bookmarks, either colour coding of them and/or adding notes. That, however, is irrelevant, since you won't bookmark a station with 35 ships, so your limit is irrelevant in that case.
