out of ... 25 ships, so there has to be either a few mistakes or some redonduncy, eg : federal corvete with federal version of the imp.cutter.

Excellent investigation. There seem to have been many ships on the drawing board at Frontier. The concepts for the Adder look very nice. Its now a beautiful ship If we dont get the ship we want at release, we might get it in a future patch or expansion pack.

Also, Is ship hull weathering repairable? Or will our ships look older and older?

My guess on this must be that it is repaired when you repair your ship, or maybe they have a separate repair mode for "hull weathering". That the ship must be cleaned and resprayed for the weathering texture to go off. Like respraying a car or something. A car can work fine and still look "rusty". Well, you get it
