Because it is not what I deleted a month or so ago it is totally different I came in this evening for a but of respite from TV thought I would play Elite and I have had to spend over an hour mapping keys once again. No information on how to use the new system or indeed how to find the Mission targets it Raves about in the message windows.

Well, of course there are patch notes to see what's new, tutorial videos to learn about the mechanics and helpful people on the forum who can fill in the blanks.
But you wouldn't find the time for that, right? Just quick install, nope, I have no idea how that works, uninstall.
Well, if you're that time-efficient, maybe next time leave out the forum post, too.

Doesn't the word "again" slightly water down the magnitude of your remark?
I suspect that the same sneaky mod who moved it in here edited the OP. Originally it said something… well, something similar but in many more words.
Actually, after a six month break I'm kind'a shocked how much muscle memory is still there for my HOTAS setup. Had a shock when intercepted and had no clue about not having anything mapped to switch bridge Mode?!? (), but luckily the NPC was only interested in what I had in my hold - plus the NPC cops showed up pretty sharpish (in the Sirius system) which led me to tutorials on needing to map the Mode key / FSS & Planetary Scanner. Pretty much back up to speed now.
Have to admit, would've been nice to have updated tutorials explaining the new stuff - who has time to read?

Funny thought there was like ten pages worth of explaining you had to click through on first use...
So, how many bindings do you have?
Took me all of 3 minutes to map mine.
Then on first opening the FSS, you get guide.
I think you can still get mission USSs from the nav beacon anyway.
Plus, there's plenty of online resources showing you exactly what to do, for those unwilling to even try.

All I wanted to Know was how to target the FOUND mission objectives. NOTHING tells you.
Searched Google and DuckDuckgo nothing but references to the Wave Scanner SRV.
I had three Black Box missions. and Three assassination ones.
I called the Beta up when it came out did not like the look of the new system. But I was also in the middle of Checking out FS2019 (modding it). The X4 Foundations came out. (been waiting for that since announcement) He Space Legs. Building stations....
But Dangerous is a alternative for other things. So re-installed it yesterday and Guess what CONFUSION reigns.
Now all I want to know is how to get these Mission targets back.
