Impressive! Forgive my cloak and dagger, but I keep a very big "air gap" between my fictional 'Old Duck' self and the human behind the keyboard. I will say that I served on a Los Angeles class in the same squadron as the real USS Dallas (small world). IMO, there are few jobs on earth that "feel" like being on a spaceship, except the obvious "being on a spaceship", than serving on a nuclear submarine :D

And my days as a tactical fighter pilot are long over. No airplane in the lottery plan for me. I need bathrooms. :(

This is what annoys me about gamers. Want to lock them in a boxes with dehydrating air, no bathrooms, constant fear and stress in UK weather (after crossing the Atlantic *and* the US), short on fuel, one engine, one generator, then make them claim it's romantic. :(

So much for the haters of the DC. Wish *I'd* had one.

You are a bit of a troll now though. It’s a shame because you weren’t a couple of years ago.

Stig is in line for a flying spot in Beige Squadron. 29 airplanes, over a hundred of them competing for a slot.

And I *was* tempted to buy a third account, and start it...

Slightly pink is the new beige, beige was so 2016.

Are you implying its my fault you decided not to buy a third account in some sort of reverse spite pledge. Thats a little strange.

The industries leading space game?

Definitely see below.

It is not even in the top 10s for review score, number of owners and number of players on its main web store Steam.

I like the steam reviews that say 6000 hours played no content not recommended, the authors seem a little slow.

Sadly right now the only place ED is the industry's leading space game is downdetector.com.

Doomed since 2014, not bad eh.

Oddly enough the year scam citizen was supposed to release.

According to steam stats ED's got more players than NMS (this isn't a new thing) even though you don't need steam to buy or launch it meaning its only a fraction of the players. It would look even worse for those plucky mincraft with a raygun runners up if you needed steam to buy or play.

Then you've got X4 which won't be worth touching for at least another six months due to egosofts always gamebreakingly broken campaigns on launch and a very very limited playing area.

So yes it really is the benchmark we judge the rest by, as Elite was before it.

It'll stay there till the sequel.

At least skimmers aren’t falling out of the sky to cause death by installation when attempting to land.

At least missions don’t fail by Unknown Contact as soon as they’re accepted.

At least all the planets didn’t turn beige.
