Hardware & Technical Would you recomend this Hotas?

Thank you for your reassurance. I have ordered it with next day delivery, can't wait. :D

You will love it.. it's a great stick.

I have an X52 and an X52 pro and they're both great. My Pro is the new Logitech one which is likely the one you will get.. it's well built and very nice to use. It's perfect for Elite.

Crap sensors are crap.

The joystick crown is nice - it's well furnished with two hats and three buttons, along with a two-stage trigger (that Elite can't actually use, to the best of my knowledge), but the resolution and accuracy of the axis sensors leaves a lot to be desired. The stick's throw is also very light, which is not to everyone's tastes, including mine. The throttle is decent, with lots of buttons, although the mouse nub is a bit of a joke.

Personally, for a low-end stick with twist yaw, I don't think the Thrustmaster T.16000M can be beaten - it has a far superior pair of sensors (14-bit compared to the x52 Pro's 11-bit) for the X and Y axes and, IMO, a much nicer throw. It has one fewer hat on the crown and one fewer trigger. This can be compensated for with shift keys. I've never used the T.16000M throttle, so can't comment on it.

I enjoyed my T-16000m for just over a year (conveniently[mad]) & then about 2yrs ago, the potentiometer started playing up; hence I dismantled the stick, cleaned the offending components, reassembled it - which was a pretty fiddly exercise - & consequently, 'managed to get another 2 months out of it until the issue resurfaced.

Subsequently, I decided to throw it away on the grounds that "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat s***!...again!" & reverted to using my Hotas X, which has been trouble free for nearly 4 years now. With the help of 'Joystick Curves', I've even become adept at using fixed weps in PvP with it (rails/plasma, anyway...multis, less so because of the need for continuous ToT) despite being significantly inferior to the T-16000 in terms of accuracy.

The T-16000 throttle is also a bit crap...the near unusable paddle is possibly the worst design decision since God's negligent attempt at male genitalia ('should undoubtably* be retractable imho & is also definitive proof that God is female [big grin]).

*I didn't mean 'undoubtedly'...okay?!

The matching rudder pedals aren't half bad either, but they do take up a LOT of space under the desk.

Two sticks, pedals, a head tracker.

Assuming you have sticks with a decent mount of control, that is all you will need. I have everything I could possibly want mapped and never have to touch my keyboard outside of typing in system names or pressing Esc to quit.

Throttle is entirely optional, but certainly comfy.

It's a great stick and had mine for over 10 years now.

Had mine for 14 years now and it still works too. I've since moved onto an X-56 which I love (the mini-sticks are awesome), but the X-52 isn't bad either.

Not fond of the Warthog, though I know quite a few who have one and love it. Personally, I'd go for a modern FLCS which was a good stick, especially for Falcon4.
