Temp Fix for Fedration Navy Mission while I wait for a offcial reply/fix.

So while I've run into a game breaking bug with a Navy Contract Mission (needed to level up your Faction Rank), I am hoping that there might be someone here who knows if there is a temp fix to get me past this bug. Seeing as I can't level up my Fed rank unless I can complete a Navy Contract.

Sure hope someone here will know a workaround until I hear back from Frontier or this gets resolved and my account compensated somehow.

Cut your losses and reclaim lost rank and then find another Fed system you are close with. They'll have a new naval contract you can try to complete.

And FYI, influence isn't yours, its goes to a minor faction. You get the rep, they get a slightly larger slice of the influence percentage in a system. As for resolution and compensation, I wouldn't hold your breath. The penalty for failing or abandoning a mission is minuscule, and there's always been the occasional bugs in the missions every now and then. There's one for 'scan the emplacement terminal' mission that only completes sometimes when destroying a generator. Been a couple years for that one, I think.

Sadly we see you failed the initiative test, so we're considering a demotion back down the ranks to cadet where just following orders is enough. The CPO rank requires significant abilities in problem solving, and we're not seeing this in your application.

He's pointing out that missions aren't static, they are pseudo-randomly generated and if you get stuck on one (ie it bugs out) then the solution is to abandon the mission, accept the very slight malus to Local Faction rep and go get another rank up mission, either from that faction or elsewhere. Not like there is a shortage of Federation Minor Factions around the place.

It's literally the most obvious "workaround" in the world which is fortunate given that even if FD do look into this issue it won't be with a view to fixing your mission in particular, that's just not how this works.

Ya that didn't come across. Just came across like them trying to be jerk.

I already dropped the mission and accepted another. Which the new mission did work.

Maybe it was meant to be in CZ, but none exist. It's a known bug.
