I should've moved to Founders World years ago

Founder's World honestly made the game playable for me. Nothing worse than wasting an hour flying around from station to station just to buy a certain module. We value your time yadda yadda. [downcast]

Other than the supermarket that stocks almost everything at 10% discount, Shinrarta is also within 1 jump from all material traders, an interstellar factor and a station sitting just outside a ring with haz res.

IMO it is the biggest QoL improvement one can unlock.

I've been able to dock there for years now, its only recently that I've moved there from that backwater Sol system. :p

Its like walking into a supermarket which has almost everything (apart from Powerplay weapons?). So, so convenient. 8A Power Plant? Sure. FSD Boosters? Of course sir. Guardian Hull Plating? Why not sir, would you like another Challenger to go with it? With discounted rates? No worries about hunting for new ships either.

It even has a couple of material traders just down the road. I have found my new home, away from that noisy Sol lot. :D

Welcome, neighbor! :)

Started a thread some time ago now that I felt that the founders world station is abit of a let down frankly. Given the chance to make it unique graphically and to represent elite lore/game/players somehow the easy option of standard station design was chosen. Sad face.

Still as a location to base oneself from its one of the best.

It would have been nice to have it as a Coriolis in a wireframe paint job (possibly done with lights rather than paint).

Jameson should have stayed as a kickstarter only system, it used to be a lovely place until they let all of the elite riff-raff in. ;)

Access to Shinrarta was the only reason that motivated me to grind to elite.

Grind? Maybe 3 hours work nowadays, and you get 1.4 billion credits to boot :D
#voidopals

Anyway, I used I Sola Prospect sometimes on my second account, when I couldn't be bothered to wander around. Yes it is more expensive and will effect rebuy, but money isn't really a problem anymore in ED.

I agree, Jameson Memorial should also rotate clockwise and have a fake entrance painted on the back of the station.
Oh, and a webcam.

B..b...but...

it's how it was supposed to be played. When you want something you go to the source, travel a bit here and there. Sometimes it can be bit annoying when you want to outfit different ships at a time. But as in RL you aren't stocked with newest car, meat, hammers and eggs in your local shop. Different needs, different sources.

I, otoh, quite enjoy those shopping trips. I'm stationed at Cubeo (I know, came here to visit, stayed for good. Looks like basking makes wonders to my paintjob) and I do my shopping at Diaguandri, bit over 200 LYs away. There'a always little thrill, how many jumps it will take to get home?

Anyway, I don't buy ships that often to require all ships and modules be available on silver plate. Over the time I play I amassed modules so I'm pretty much stocked, all I do is switch ships and there's almost for certain I have enough of proper modules for the fitting.

Nowadays? Been like that for a long time.

I was born late, it has been haunting me ever since...

[offtopic]
But is it? I know some gold rushes (starting with the T9's buying perf enhancers 10 clicks from a station) and long range mission stacking (which required Tycoon like ranks), but void opals wins hands down imo...

What we need now is a new feature that makes combat rank equally fast.

My CMDR is a cheapskate who gets all of his modules at least 15% off, so I almost never have any reason to go to Shinrarta unless I'm looking for a fight.

Jameson Memorial, The Wal*Mart of space.

Just wait... when we can walk around the station we can make “The People of Jameson” videos to compete with these:

Nope, nowhere close, I think smeaton has been the highest earner so far. For cargo Elite rank, the Meta alloy missions far exceeded Void opal earnings. There has always been something, up until a few months ago we had almost 6 months of potentially earning 200+ million every 12 minutes hauling MA's (You did need a T9 or Cutter though) For exploration Elite rank there is the smeaton pax missions etc etc.. Keep going back and similar gold rushes existed... First ones where the Seeking goods & Rare goods. Rare goods was locked down within hours, seeking goods lasted a week or so.

At least with Void Opals you are kinda working for your cash, and earnings will be halved once the devs patch the abrasion bug.

You could stack these up until recently, flight time to drop off is 6 mins
