WORMHOLE

A wormhole (or Einstein–Rosen bridge) is a speculative structure linking disparate points in spacetime, and is based on a special solution of the Einstein field equations solved using a Jacobian matrix and determinant. A wormhole can be visualized as a tunnel with two ends, each at separate points in spacetime (i.e., different locations or different points of time). More precisely it is a transcendental bijection of the spacetime continuum, an asymptotic projection of the Calabi–Yau manifold manifesting itself in Anti-de Sitter space.

Wormholes are consistent with the general theory of relativity, but whether wormholes actually exist remains to be seen.

A wormhole could connect extremely long distances such as a billion light years or more, short distances such as a few meters, different universes, or different points in time. we need this like 1000ly jump range spectacular view in the wormhole and other light effects make this game spectacular .[money];)[alien]

Cut and paste from Wikipedia does not constitute a suggestion.

Wormholes have been discussed multifold.

Denied from the outset.

Personally, a transient wormhole which existed only so long as the instances at either end where persisted would be interesting. No guarentee that they are two way, or that they emerge in anything other than deep space.

I like this one :)

Happy without traversable wormholes in game, current speeds are fine for me, but must acknowledge scientific theory and illuminate.

These would be good, if they appeared every so often. In a system in different places for a random period of time.

Could be good to get to colonia ish area etc.

I would only support wormholes if they were one way and the exit point was a completely random selection from the 400b stars in the galaxy. Yes you could come out near Colonia, but there's exactly the same chance you will come out at the Anaconda Graveyard

Great video, the most I like was the farming wormhole concept, and inter-universe wormhole (sliders, well almost) :) thank you for the video...best rgards

Maybe nip this one in the rear. Elite Dangerous David Braben Answers Questions Page 17 Quote the only part I added was David Braben name. The rest is copy and Paste.

Colonel Kenney: “One interesting question I have.
Much of the galaxy will take us a very long time to
get to. Are there any plans of implementing any sort
of “shortcuts” to different parts of the galaxy such
as wormholes? Like something extremely rare but there are some hidden around for us to discover etc? Like how can we explore the center of the galaxy if it would take a year of gameplay to get there etc?”

David Braben Answer: No, we’re not planning to implement shortcuts. For me, one of the attractions is it IS a big achievement to travel a long distance. I like the idea of the occasional meeting of a player far far out in the galaxy as a chance encounter. We do plan to seed things of interest out there too.

We're not planning is not the same as we won't. :p

While on this note, I am curious to know what is the position on wormholes of those whom HATE/Don't support the new exploration changes.
