Feels like everything has been getting some TLC other than my primary source of income. Bounty hunting could really do with some real development and gameplay. Bounty hunting should be about hunting a bounty. There should be a trail to follow, investigate clues to find the target and then take them down. Also different rewards for dead or alive takedowns (ie can you shoot out their drive). The current system of knock around a haz res killing RNG wanted ships is a bit..meh. That's more a protection and security job.

If it doesn't happen it doesn't happen, but I'd REALLY dig some proper bounty hunting. Assassinations are kind of close, but not really the same. Bounty hunting is about HUNTING the target. Not being told 'here he/she is - kill them'.
 
Although I like your idea I would be happy to see fixed all those annoying bugs introduced with the last game patch rather than introducing new ones.

Well yes. I guess my wish-list tacitly assumes all the bugs are fixed already :)
 
BH and really, the whole crime and cops-and-robbers gameplay from both sides, should probably be the next big project for gameplay improvements. Not nearly enough cool stuff for criminals or lawmen just yet, let alone the interactions between these groups.

The new CZ for example (once the horrifying bugs are washed outten them) have really improved the feel of warzones, what with actually winning or losing them instead of simply horking up bonds and leaving when you have sufficient numbers for your credit balance or your BGS work. It seems to me that this is a sign of FD heading in the right overall direction of more integrated and better "feeling" gameplay. I hope this gets applied to BH as well.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Bounty hunting should have some element of 'hunt' in there.

I've often advocated information contacts at stations, someone who will offer tidbits of info (not just for bounties but maybe for juicy piracy scores, or trade tipoffs) in return for credits , favours, missions completed etc...

So...your target was last spotted at XYZ system, you head to XYZ and speak to the contact, asking about your target...he tells you that the target was spotted in a Res site attacking miners 2 days ago and he made off with some palladium. There's only a few systems near XYZ that buy palladium at decent prices, best check them out....or he's part of a crew, they usually hang out in ABC system...and the breadcrumb trail it set...or something along those lines with the chance to get inbox messages from passing NPCs giving further clues.

It would require some work mind you...but still something i've wanted to see in game for a long time.
